This not being common knowledge is the reason 90% of at least guitarists and bass players give up. People spend years trying to learn songs and work out the rhythm staring at tabs learning note by note play note until you get it to sound like song. Play second note get that to sound like song go back to first note try to get that to relate to second note. . Give up. This changes that. And should be any musicians lesson 1 . It would be quicker demonstrate with an instrument.have everything drawn out. And point and play. Only other thing would be that tabs invert the lines underneath.
