  • How to make a wild hedgerow design for event or sideboard display
Ingredients - range of foraged materials including grasses, ammi, long buttercup, foliage and a few garden varieties - allium and sweet William.
When you see things everyday you just don’t see the beauty anymore - but take a section and put it on display and then even the humble mixed grasses from the verge side become interesting jewels we overlook.
This design showcases the materials from the verge at the back of my house - nothing fancy, but look at what we can do with them! Add a few other elements- the alliums, to bring in a little more colour, and we have a stunning display.
Watch and see how easy this large design was to put together.

Beauty of nature. The spring meadow encourages you to take a walk. Yellow buttercups add cham. Very, very beautiful and natural 😊🌿

This arrangement is fantastic. I love the height and wildness of it! I wish I could hide behind one of these at work. LOL

Love the wildness John! When you talk about things you don't normally see how you remember playing with certain plants as a child--I think that is the same thing! Children notice the beauty of all flowers without prejudice. A love of flowers doesn't begin in adulthood does it? I think this is very precious and lovely.

John, beautiful natural composition. I love wildflowers, they are unpredictable. I can't wait for the meadows near my house to bloom. As of today, I have a beautiful yellow rapeseed around.

I really am enjoying this wild design, John. Your incorporation of roadside materials is brilliant and, with you, I think that pop of yellow is “the” touch! Also, parallel designs are a favorite, and not necessarily as “easy” as they may appear. Thank you for this, Friend. Here’s hoping you have a terrific week!

Thank you 😊 those little yellow flowers are just beautiful . I think they are a buttercup of some kind, but they add a touch of colour and lightness.
Hope you are having a good week! Enjoy 😊
