As someone who experienced nerve damage after a broken ankle which caused numbness, I can say it’s really scary not being able to feel ANYTHING in my foot.
I’ve had severe migraine before to the point that I needed to get my brain scanned because it resembled a stroke. One half of my body went numb and I had aphasia which means I couldn’t speak properly. It is rlly freaky to lose feeling. I can move my body but I have to look at it to confirm movement because I really couldn’t feel it move. And walking was a nightmare. People don’t know how much we depend on our sense of touch to walk in a balanced way. Depending on eyesight alone is really tough and downright impossible as someone with a migraine whose eyesight was also affected. I was not aware of how we walk because we just usually depend on our sense of touch.
It is quite common to experience numbness in feet when sitting uncomfortably for a long time. I think everyone has had this experience of not knowing when the feet touches the ground and not knowing how much force to apply to stand erect (when experiencing numbness).
I lost the sense of touch to my upper back during a surgery and it’s so weird having no idea if I’m actually using muscles in that area or not. Can’t even tell if there’s a cut, bruise, or just any of it
Kinda, similar to dead legs and arms, however I don’t have the ability to move them while I can’t feel them except for a very brief time (there’s a specific toilet at my parents’ house that is too tall for me and so there’s added pressure on my legs and doesn’t take long for them to go dead, especially if I’m taking a while to take a break from being social)

I had a wisdom tooth removed and the surgent hit a nerve. This caused a part of my lower lip to lose its ability to feel pain, pressure, touch, and temperature. I can still move it like normal. After over a year, I gain some feeling of pain and pressure, but it is very faint.

I have super rare nerve damage closely related to MS (in my case signals to the muscles are fine, but limited data comes up back up). Walking is hard, because I can't feel the floor. Especially on stairs. I tripped a lot "relearning" to walk my first year or so, and even broke a toe at one point. I cut my hands a lot. But it is kind of nice not to feel pain! I just notice the blood trail and have retrace my steps back to the source. I get tons of bad bug bites, not knowing I'm being chewed on. I have stomach issues, because my digestive track doesn't respond to food being there correctly. Body temp is all over the place. Skin can't sense / regulate (any) temperature swings. Lots of weird balance and mothion sickness issues too. I'm also really sensitive to light and sound now too. Going to the movies is brutal. It can be frustrating. But out of all the diseases to have, being "immune to pain" is probably the way to go! Honestly, the scariest part was waiting to be diagnosed. I had tons of MRIs looking for brain and spine tumors, strokes, autoimmune disorders..... its was months waiting to hear "you'll be dead soon."

I had a mild stroke 9 years ago and for a couple of weeks I lost all feeling on the left side of my body. I could still move and walk but like the video describes, I had to watch my left hand to know what it was doing. If I picked something up, I didn't know how tightly I was gripping it so if I stopped watching it, I would drop things. Luckily my feeling came back. A man in my stroke recovery group never got his feeling back on one side and he accidentally burned his 'unfeeling' hand really badly on a grill. he didn't feel it but eventually noticed the smell of his burning hair and looked down.
one time i fell asleep on my arm for probably the whole night and when i woke up it was numb and i couldnt see it either in the dark. i went to rub my eyes and accidentally slapped myself in the face super hard
I lost the ability to feel my feet after a particularly cold and quick car crash. Thought it was hypothermia at first but, nope! Just can’t ever feel them again 😅 When this first happened, I would stomp around every time I walked without knowing it because I couldn’t feel how hard I was touching the ground, and it took a while to learn how to walk and run again. It just feels like I’m falling every time I stand up

So cool. By the way, I have difficulty communicating because I had a stroke in Broca’s area, the part of the brain that controls speech. 2/8/2021 but I lived again. (My wife helped me compose this.)
I think I'd honestly rather lose my sight than touch (though it's a close call). I'm very clumsy and I think that without any haptic feedback I'd be constantly dislocating my fingers and breaking things. I can barely keep from slapping myself in the morning if I fell asleep on my arm, let alone learning how to move around with my whole body like that

But it's not touch, it's proprioception that was preventing him from moving
The whole 5 senses thing is a myth, we have many senses: time, temperature, hunger, location of body parts in relation to each other, balance, etc.
Temperature is touch, time is a mental calculation, hunger sensation is caused by your stomach being empty (which is a touch sensation).
Balance and location are the 6th sense described in this video
Proprioception is our sixth sense responsible for balance and location
