I saw the title and I'm like "ok, I still don't really 'speak' Japanese, I just know a handful of words and concepts about the language structure. I'm about halfway through and it is JARRING how I can actually pick up on the Texan accent in a language I don't understand. We Statesfolk tend to only think about "non-English accent applied to accent" and never the other way around. This has opened a whole new world of possibilities for me with voice acting. I don't do anything professional, but I do enjoy voicing NPCs in TRPG campaigns, so this new perspective could REALLY give me some fresh ideas EDIT ok that ending was so sweet and wholesome. I love that we can play pretend kitchen like we did as kids, but now with an unnecessarily high amount of skill and polish 😂 it's legit super cool seeing people just kinda do whatever they want for streams and videos, rather than feeling like they have to follow some kind of formula or system. If anyone reading this has been wanting to do something "unconventional" like this, I'll be the one to tell you to go ahead and give it a shot. Speaking from personal experience, I can assure you there's a good chance you'll be pleasantly surprised
