She is the one that actually "gets shit done" which is something you will sometimes see at the director level with those not bogged down with leadership and admin tasks. I could understand why he would pick Calli as she has shown a lot of interest in leadership type activities. I've seen a few talks from her recently that point to her wanting to take on a more supportive role: helping other members succeed and professional growth which is the sort of mentality you want for leaders. Having a track record of juggling a large amount of varied work and engaging in company activities helps her case too. A lot of CEOs do indeed worth their ass off despite the stereotypes.
