    So glad to have discovered your channel. Lovely relaxing video. Living in the UK, if we didn't go out on these dull grey wet days we'd miss so much. Loved your tree creeper and nuthatch footage.

    No frills video, makes a change from all those pro wildlife photographers who seem to be out of touch with real amateur photographers. Made me think about going out to my local woods. I'm retired so I've got time on my hands. I have recently purchased the Canon RF 6m2 and the RF 100-500, could I get shots like yours with this set up? Enjoyed it so much I've subscribed.

      Thank you so much, you've got it spot on! One of the reasons I made my channel was to show a more genuine 'every day' side to wildlife photography, youtube would have you believe that every time you left your house you'll come across nine different owls all in amazing light. This obviously is so far from reality, particuarly when you don't do it full time so have to plan your trips around work and don't have the luxury of camping out for days on end.
      Absolutely you can get similiar images, if not a little cleaner as the 100-500 is better in low light than the 200-800. Get out to the woods and enjoy yourself!
      Thank you so much once again!

    Really enjoyed this, and yes, it certainly seemed worth the effort. Lovely to see the nuthatch, treecreeper and goldcrest. I never knew nuthatches were that destructive! I also enjoyed your choice of music - so restful, unlike that of many other wildlife videos I have watched.

      Thank you very much! I had no idea they were so destructive either, I only noticed it because I saw small chunks of bark falling from the tree

    I loved those B&W images of the crow Damian - my favourite thing in the video. The nuthatch pulling off the bark was cool too😅 I hope your camera survived!

      Thank you Stephen! Glad you liked the B&W crow shots, I was worried they were a little too 'bland' and I loved the Nuthatch too. The camera's doing ok, it did scare me a fair bit but I've used it since and all seems to be well for now.

    Nice video! What camera do you use? I like the quality at 800mm in low light conditions.

    I know it's an R3 but would still use a rain cover, the mirrorless bodies aren't as good from a weather sealing point of view as the DSLRs were.

      @damianjohnwildlife  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're absolutely right, it wasn't even raining that bad which is unfortunate

      The RF200-600 looks pretty good are you happy with it so far? Is that weather sealed?@@damianjohnwildlife

      @damianjohnwildlife  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@guydunn7414 better sealing than the R3 apparently 🤣 for the most part I'm happy with it. Focus could be a bit faster and I wish I had a slightly lower aperture on the long end. Image quality wise it does a good job

    I'd love to know what drizzle is here in Norfolk 😂
    Seems like it hasn't stopped for weeks :(

      @damianjohnwildlife I'm definately more of a summer person. I can't stand the look, mud and smells of winter anyway 😊

      @damianjohnwildlife Oh that's happened all of about twice this winter 😂
      Honestly Norfolk is the worst in winter. The landscape is drab and flat, it rains, never snows and is just generally miserable. It's something else in summer though! :)

    just my humble opinion .. 1:05 it will be nice if you look at camera lens rather than the screen while talking, it like you look at the eye while talking to people..
