I have had the priviledge to see her family collection of kimono and accessories. Nothing in the world equals japanese mastery when it comes to details, absolutely nothing. i have been to the japanese section of countless national museum around the world and nothing compares to what my neighbour has in her house

I have a feeling this is meant to be a much more modern rendition of a traditional oiran dance. It's easy to lose the attention of people, so they likely tried to speed things up a bit.
WHOA 8 years late 😅She’s a Kamuro, which is a young servant girl (or attendee) which are sold to brothels by their families. They act as servants to Oiran and other courtesans, and will eventually become courtesans when they are of age. So, as she is supposed to be “not available” and is a child, they will tie her bow in the back. Hope this helps ^_^ The only time I have ever seen a kamuro with a bow in the front, was for the movie “Sakuran” (awesome Oiran movie by the way, you should watch it ! 😉) and that movie is very stylized, so sit might not be accurate
