What's T3 and T4? I've only seen T1 and T2 pins in Ryobi 36V. There's a forum where people have figured most of it out. The pin used by the tool can be switched between two resistors. The tool measures the resistance as a way of knowing how much power it can draw. In charging mode, T1 and T2 are UART TX and RX. Charging current is probably controlled digitally, like M18. Haven't had the chance to look at it yet.

thanks, do you have a link to that forum post? Here is a picture of the T3/T4 pins: toolm8.com.au/cdn/shop/files/57_1654ed9b-45e2-4745-9c8f-89085635fa1a.jpg?

@TheBatteryDoctor thanks, never seen those contacts. Look similar to the extra contacts on the Ryobi 18V HP packs.
I'll try to post a link as a separate reply, but youtube often silently deletes links from anyone but channel owner. Search for "diyelectriccar ryobi 40v bms troubleshooting"

500 dollar for a battery?! Now I've seen it all, These battery s are insanely expensive. And they have the same Makita brick system where if a cell goes down below a certain voltage, the BMS locks the battery, what a joke!
