I love this video! I admire your bravery and find inspiration in your vlogs. I'm sort of stuck, wanting to jet off somewhere, I want the sun + heat + a lot of relaxing + a little pampering. But unable to click the "book it" button, I even found a new place, with 4 miles+ of sandy beaches to walk, but still unable to click that button. There's a few things holding me back, like the cost, the risk [of something going wrong and me not being cool about it], but mostly I think it's the effort & upheaval, so much easier to just stay put and do nothing, and endure this cold, grey, wet england where the sun rarely shines :(

hello Cam, I'm not feeling well these days and feel like I haven't been living since I got a new remote job. I'm grateful that I am able to work at home but home doesn't feel like 'home' anymore. guess I'm just trying to ease up and trying to adjust to this new lifestyle. It's hard but thank you for your new video. Hope to travel around the world too and see my life and the world in a new perspective. This video radiates growth and courage.
Hi! I get what you mean...working at home can feel very isolating sometimes. Give yourself grace as you adjust to a different lifestyle. Maybe try and think of a routine that will get you out of the house more and into spaces where you can interract with people or even just be around people. Even if just for a day or so throughout the week. Change always takes adjusting to, and I always find discomfort in that period...but growth will come from it. Wishing you luck!

I feel safe here in Essaouira. I definitely move differently than I do when I'm in other places so as to feel safer. For example, I don't stay out late by myself and I will always sit in places where there are lots of other people so I'm not completely alone and vulnerable.
i never get the point of traveling alone or having a date with myself trends, is not bad at priori and if you dont have anyone i totally get it or if you feel it, but if i have the possibility i travel with a close one, with people we discover ourselves, I have my room to get into my thoughts and actually i dont discover anything, i just stay in the same spot or making a deal out of anything. i just think we enter a narcisistic and individualist mindset/culture nourished from social media
Hm... there's a lot to explore in what you said. I think both things can be true- we can discover different aspects of ourselves both when we are with other people, and also when we are alone. I think what matters most is that you engage in experiences in ways that speak to your specific needs. The motivation for solo-travel for me comes from the desire to not wait for someone else's wants or schedules to align with mine in order to have the experiences I desire. I value experiences with my loved ones & partner, but if they are not interested in the thing that I want to do, I know I can still do that thing and enjoy the experience solo. I very much enjoy my alone time, and it's nice to have the autonomy to take that time when I need it, but solo-travel can be a bit of a misnomer. Going to a place alone doesn't mean I have to experience the whole thing alone- I've made connections and built community with people from all over. Traveling solo has allowed me to put myself out there and see that community can extend beyond the social circles in my everyday life. I agree, social media can definitely fuel the individualistic mindset... but... it can also build movements and community.

I find that my solitude really fills my cup up and when I am with people, I feel like I have so much love and energy to offer because of how fulfilled I feel in myself.
