well if you like style you should check out Clay Marzo, isn't same old same old surfing by any means, though if you only like old school classic style surfing like Surf Chimp or Mr. Pipeline then you probably ain't gonna dig it, he's more like surfing's potentials future, crazy creative and spontaneous surfing- like break-dancing on the water, Jesus style (I'm no Jesus freak but guy must have been a surfer if he walked on water, just saying) sometimes he'll pull something that seems entirely new, with no reference point in any board sport that I can think of. Postmodern surfing for sure, or maybe abstract expressionist surfing with some cubism thrown in for good measure. Not a lot of videos though, got dropped by Quicksilver cause he has a hard time with interviews and contests due to his affliction.
Great white shark doesn't prefer very cold, it and similar sharks prefer moderate or even sub tropical waters of California to Gulf of Mexico, I've seen great white dorsal in Santa Barbara area, so i'm done surfing there.
the skill of "average" looks good to me. I grew up on the north shore in the 60's been surfing for 50 plus years. Nice video, good job too what appears to be a soul surfer and not a canned performer.

They're actually not a problem, it's mostly just the freezing temperature and if you go out far enough the whales
