If that was a real Japanese home, you wouldn't have dared keep your boots on Cash! 😂
It's a lovely place and I really appreciate the kitchen and working fireplace.
How I wish I could afford to rent it; it's perfect.

Have to fully agree. Though he wiped the soles of his shoes on a mat close to the front door, I was somewhat horrified that he walked through the house with his shoes. As an American who lived abroad, my family always removed footwear used for outside purposes before entering any home. Now that I have moved to Japan for at least a year, it is a practice that feels so very normal.

Live in CT and just went to NY a few months back. We ate at that .99 Pizza place before catching our train home. I was shocked how good it was. Also I thought it was cool that the owner must know the local homeless guy. Guy came in, dropped some change on the counter, and the owner gave him pizza without even counting the change and was very amicable to him. Was really cool of him to treat the homeless man the same as any other customer.

OH. MY. GOODNESS! It's been so long since we have seen a somewhat traditional kitchen (rather than a snack bar) that I almost forgot what one is supposed to look like! Very, VERY, nice unit! That's a lot of room and it's in a fantastic area of Manhattan proper but... I wouldn't pay $13K/month in rent for it unless it was corporate sponsored.

This place has so much potential, but they need to add warmer lighting and wood floors that won’t make you feel like you’re living in a sterile hospital. Someone with no taste and money to piss away will rent this though. (No, I did not sleep well last night).

That's a gorgeous apartment. Not many can afford it, but those who can are going to be happy there.
I personally love the standing shower with the high wall around it. As someone with long hair, that would be just what I need.
    The kitchen is terrific.
    Love the bamboo garden outside.
    The neighborhood is great.
All around a winner - but only for those who can afford such rents. Even with roommates, it's a lot of money.

Honestly US have too much old buildings town-house like this need sale to millions ppl or any company who can afford buy it the whole building- let them break it down & rebuild new building for cleanser & safer with fire sprinklers. Open space & more lighting inside each house.
Don’t talk about history or old memories. Us & nyc have enough older builds than this & including old church, old post office, police department, opera house, museum, etc.. was built fews hundred years to thousand years, it more history than these type of town-house. So no need to keep these old town-house like this. It need & must rebuild for better, safer & cozier

@@HauTran-sunfromsouth I couldn't disagree with you more... These older buildings have CHARACTER! True craftsmanship went into these buildings! The ornate woodwork, brickwork, etc. are not found in newer buildings! They just want the cheapest building that will go up the fastest! They usually lack anything special or unique. I actually live in a new building. Exactly the kind of place you describe! And it's REALLY NICE! But it is also just as I describe newer buildings.. bland with basically no character. It all comes down to what is most esthetically pleasing to each of us... 😉✌️ I guess they each have their pros and cons...

You may need spiritual guidance or plan a wedding, funeral, or just buy mass cards or have a future mass said for a loved one. Also, a rectory is home for the priests.

This is a fully furnished Duplex with a fireplace. That means there’s usually 4 to 6 bedrooms. I’m born and raised in New York. I’ve probably passed this place a few times in my life. Yes, the rent is cringe worthy, but there are many world travelers, who come here who make way more money than you would ever imagine, and find renting an entire building at that price very good. There’s also enough bedrooms that you can have other adults who make decent money, live there and share the rent. A few mid-level fashion designers who might want to relocate and are doing well would love that place.
Or, someone who sold their home and wanted to spend some time in New York for a few years. Trust me, you can’t be broke and live in Midtown. lol Anyhow, it’s gorgeous. it’s super private with a backyard. Again, it’s the whole building. I bet you this roof access . Robert De Niro gave up his place in Tribeca and rented one several months ago. Though, it was broken into. The only way anyone knew about it. It was a very random break in. He left the basement door unlocked and someone just kept trying doors on the block and walked in. Typically, these places are extremely quiet and safe. Thanks for showing the inside of this one!

His content isn’t lazy tho. If u don’t like the titles of videos, well that’s bizarre. Everyone knows it’s to get ppl to watch. Do u not know how TH-cam works?

Great review as always. But this is yet another example of people/designers mounting their tv so high, it’s like the bad seat you get when your late to a movie. TV’s should be at seated eye level, not inclining your head back to see it above the sky boxes. Designers, read an OSHA brief once in a while you might learn something. Excuse me, I have to go outside and yell at the kids to “get off my lawn!”

Wish I could afford this place! It’s wonderful. I wonder why the second floor windows have bars though…
