June 2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the war on drugs. Since 1971, America has spent over a trillion dollars enforcing its drug policy, according to research from the University of Pennsylvania. The war on drugs has done more harm than good, according to many experts. Despite the fact that the federal government is spending more money on drug enforcement than ever, drug use in the U.S. is climbing once again. Racially biased mass incarceration has also profoundly impacted communities of color.
London Breed wants to be reelected and she and Jenkins are racists who will enable their own kind to be criminal because with Pamela Price in Alameda County they’re involved and running a criminal cartel of retail gun and drug trade. London Breed even wanted to get her convicted murderer brother to be let out. Why? Cause criminals stick together.
Regan started this lie. His drug war policy failed big time. And cost US - tax payers billions of $ that could have rebuilt all are bridges. Gov waste is real.
This is why we’re seeing a ~30% increase in our city (30mins fromSF) for homeless. When an area is known for their programs, people will flock to said areas. This is a sign that this needs to be a federal or larger state mandated issue. If the state won’t, then ship them back to where they are registered.
Ship them back? Are they cattle? Does that include non citizens when they enter the southern border? Remember progress isn’t always compassionate ask that 1930’s progressive socialists. He was pretty evil
It's an election year. This is only a temporary head fake by the Democrats running the city. It will all end by November after the election is over. The criminals will be back out on the street.
@@OptimusPrinceps_Augustus The addiction can be put on a hold ....how long will that hold last? Hey good job to Floyd. I am proud of him 4 years is great. but the drugs will ALWAYS remain available.
Nothing happens in these major cities until behind closed doors the leaders and their donors figure out how to profit from it, either monetarily or politically. While it's citizens are left with the leftovers.
A couple years ago San Francisco was passing out free needles now they a big drug problem and Mayor wonders why ? drug crackdowns always come on a election year.
The fact is we have enough money and military to stop the transportation of drugs but it will affect too many political pockets. The war on drugs will never end it's not supposed to.
Great news. Glad they also followed it up with what needs to happen for rehabilitation and getting people’s lives back after addiction. We can’t continue down the path we’ve taken in the past and I’m glad things are being done differently. We can try new things and see what sticks.
Now the Fetenyl will be stepped on , back to Oakland, Richmond and Out Antioch..., just different avenues , less pure but more expensive. There is so much cheap Fetenyl here it's like trying to extinguish , all the weed in , California.
June 28th it took me 10 minutes to find a g of good fetti in the tenderloin on Geary and Hyde... lmao not hard to find, since the 60s SF has been notoriously easy to find every drug known to man. It's been like this before the fett and it will be e the same whatever replaces fett
I really hope the "elites" are deciding to clean up their cities - now that most people have moved away, which I might argue was the plan all along with california's insane policies and regulations
Amazing they decided to actually do something. Excuse me I mean, do their jobs and they’re all proud of driving out the drug dealers. Oh my God. How long does this have to go on.
i still believe all drugs should be legal. the way S.F. decided to handle it as a free for all with no product regulation or enough safe spaces to use. made the whole thing look like a bad idea.
No way, arresting drug dealers will save lives, lower crime rate..no way...what a concept..😂😂
they gotta arrest that Chinese grandma on market and 7th. i always see her dealing something most likely drugs to people

100% with you.
@@Timcapone01 this just goes to show what they can do and won’t do.
No it’s the latest viral documentary on tenderloin
Well they cant "clean-up" a problem if they don't CREATE the problem first ....
Liberal brains move like glaciers.
Mayor London Breed only acts when her job is on the line. Need to get rid of her.
She's as useless as Kommissar Governor Gruesome is
Should have never been elected she ran that city into the ground.
Election year

Only took 6 years since our hard working leaders to act😂
Lol😅😅
LOL Mayor Breed’s PR team is working overtime to try to make us believe that she’s cracking down on crime 😂
Proposition 47 drug-addicts!
How many times have I heard this over the last 50 years?
Regan started this lie. His drug war policy failed big time. And cost US - tax payers billions of $ that could have rebuilt all are bridges. Gov waste is real.
Years too late
No more sympathy for drug dealers and drug user. This has gotten so out of control.
They aren’t going anywhere.
this is just a show.,
as if they really are serious in cleaning up the city..
All the shenanigans happen in the evening and early hours of the morning.
All of a sudden? After years and years of people telling them about this problem
Election Year, huh?
Thank you for reporting on this, Wilson!

Small fish, China and Mexico are the main producers and distributors to the US.
How about Americans learning how to Say No to drugs?
Well no one is going to go and arrest China or Mexico, so…here we are doing what we can here.

Exactly what needs to be done. It shouldn’t have been allowed at all. San Francisco of all places
So they just pick them up, then they release them. Just tv optics
RIP SF Bay Area🧂🇺🇸
Still the most beautiful city on earth 🌏
Why the side-eye?
A) It's election year
B) Arrest without prosecution is a waste or tax payer time and money
they move to civic center, same thing
I’m hopeful for S.F.🇺🇸

As a San Franciscan it’s so damn annoying how this happens months before the election while we had to deal with BS for 4 years 😡🤬
2:41 most of these drug addicts are not even from the Bay Area.
Addiction doesn’t magically disappear
But making criminals accountable needs to STAY on the radar.

I thought drug dealers were protected in California.
It was so bad at one point that people were having to wait til midnite to safely take a dump on the sidewalk.
The Police station is on Eddy st rite in the heart of that area they do nothing but , Allow it ..
Okay. It was so much fun. SF Mayor, Could I have a syringe, please? Ahh the power to be re-elected

There can only be real results if DAs prosecute and judges impose harsh sentences. That seldom happens in California.
