Great progress! Maybe I missed it but do you plan to add some ventilation in the ply of the sofa seats/lids? I know it's not a fixed bed so maybe ventilation isn't so important, but to avoid that potential maintenance down the line it might help to add some extra holes or slots now?
At the moment we aren’t planning to, we didn’t add hole ventilation to our corner sofa in the van we live in and it’s been perfectly fine for over a year 🤗
Nice job I had same issue with stiff sliders on my bed came across a video where they said to put washers between the fixed slats and the beams on your fixed framed just to lift it up to stop the slider slats from biting hope that makes sense I’m nearly finished my rebuild and already want to build another.
Thank you for the tip 🫶🏼. I’ve read it about 5 times and think I’m grasping it 😂. May I ask, where the washers would be located on the frame? I’m very much a visual learner 😊 Congratulations too! They’re so addictive aren’t they 😆
Sorry comment was clear as mud so between the top of the bed frame studs and the bottom of the slats but only on the fixed slats not on the sliding ones. It creates a little gap and stops it binding up when closed fully and open fully. 😅
Anyone else been building in the snow? 😆❄️
No definitely not I’ve been hibernating lol well done to you guys for working through it
Yes, building a boxer camper in the snow, in Sweden ❄️😁 Most days been without snow, but some days ago we got 20-30cm snow.
I have 🤣🤣
Guys thank you so much for this video I was a bit lost on my build and that gave me great ideas
Aw this is so awesome to hear! I hope the build is going well 🙌🏼
Good job!! This construction is getting top!!
Agh thank you so much 🙌🏼 so excited with it coming together 🙃

I find pop rivets work well when attaching hinges to thin plywood
Thank you for the tip, we will take a look in to them 🤗

Great work guys. Wax them moving parts.
Thank you! Will give that a go, do you think bees wax will do the trick? 🤗
@@nicroams Yes, it'll protect the wood too. :)
@@mrbluesky9891 thank you so much, I spotted a pot of it in Sam’s dads garage so I will steal… I mean borrow it 😂

It’s bit fiddly getting the washer in place so screw goes through the hole but it does make it glide nice and smooth
What’s the bit you are using inbetween the bit and the drill?
They are countersink drill bits, honestly, worth it so you don’t have to keep changing bits 😊 These are the ones we have amzn.to/3KXfFwz
@@nicroams Ah thanks! and that bit inbetween is a chuck?
Maybe I am a little inebriated, but the sexual innuendos in this video... I am going to church on Sunday, I need a cleanse!
Ask @brendanexplores lol - the wax made all the difference! when we build his bed it was a nightmare!!! Fair play you two!! #telfordvanbuilders
Thank you! I waxed it but then Sam’s dad came and ran a jigsaw through it which also did the trick 😂🙌🏼
