📚 I'd love to see an interview with your mom about her decluttering/death cleaning experience. Two years ago (after my FIL passed away...so much stuff!!) I started seriously decluttering our home. That's actually when I found your channel, Natalie. But hearing the perspective from someone who is in the same stage of life as me doing a big declutter would be awesome.
Well, that was a lot of fun, and a I owe you a big thank you for helping me declutter the school supplies and curriculum! 🙌 So glad to see it going to good use, and discovering a new life! 🥰
Homeschool has such a stigma that I never even thought of it as an option for my future children one day, but in college I studied education because I love to teach. After classroom placements, I realized the K12 public classroom isn’t a good fit for me. You mentioning your love for teaching made me realize I could use *my* love for teaching to possibly homeschool my kids one day :)
😊 yes🎉 yes 🎉 yes please have an "after" video of your mother's sort-out......her attitude and mindset is so calming and encouraging 😊 a real balm to my soul. I'm a single mom of 4 (ages 33, 32, 30,28).....plus 2 grandchildren. Your whole family is so special to me.👍🪷
I'd love to hear your mom talk about the homeschool co-op she taught at ! I feel like she has a lot of wisdom to offer about her years of homeschooling and coop
Love the Narnia cabinet closet thingy 🦁 Your mom is such a joy to listen to, I love it when she makes an apperance in your videos. Would love a messy to minimal episode from her home! 📚
I homeschooled my children from elementary until they entered High School. Seeing the American Girl doll stuff you did in your Homeschool co-op reminded me of the ones my youngest did at our Homeschool Co-op we went to in WA. I also saw a few school books we use to use for Homeschool. Just a lot of memories came flooding in when i saw those moments with your mom.
I love this so much because of the take behind it…so many go store shopping it’s definitely become a thing to do back to school shopping. Many times we already have everything we need but still want something new. This take is definitely something many of us can do!📚
We have enjoyed The Good and Beautiful thoroughly. My 5yo has used it for preschool, kinder prep and now is halfway through kindergarten. My 8th grader is also using it and enjoys the geography and art that is thrown in!
My beautiful friend Jessica died and left behind a wonderful husband and 7 young children. It inspired me to not only start Swedish death cleaning but also get life insurance and a will/trust set up. I would love to hear more about your mothers experience! Always love hearing from Mama Wendy!!
I would love an interview with your mom about homeschooling / parenting. She seems like she embodies the proverbs 31 woman❤ I love your mom! Would a homeschooling question video be possible?! Y’all are my favorite!!!
I also love teaching my kiddos! Musical Multiplication from The Good and the Beautiful was a game changer for my girls. We also tried the Math for 3 and 4 but quickly switched back to Masterbooks. But the musical multiplication is still a huge winner!
Yes, I'd like to see a video on you mom's experience and thoughts on Swedish death cleaning! I've been a cosy minimalist for 6 years and watching videos where people decluttering is my favorite kind, and which is how I found your channel, back when you did your huge home decluttering several years ago!
I told my husband about Swedish death cleaning and he sounded ecstatic because we had to go through all of my dad's stuff after he passed. He was a hoarder and we both agreed that we are not doing that to our children. I have already decluttered so much out of the house. It is so relieving.
I homeschooled for 4 years and loved every second of it. My girls are now in traditional school, and I love my time to myself, but I also wish we could still homeschool.
I love your encouragement to moms of littles! Every time you talk about how things are different now that your kids are older, I feel so encouraged and excited for the seasons to come! I can’t even imagine an empty house right now 😂
What a fun day Natalie with your mum. As your talking about multiplication for the kids, I wanted to give you a recommendation of the musical multiplication work books from Good and Beautiful. They are very helpful to my four kids learning their tables. Five stars from me! Highly recommended.
Your voice and content are so calming and motivating. Anytime I’m feeling anxious or overwhelmed, I just throw on one of your videos and I feel better within minutes! So thank you soooo much from a new mama trying to downsize 🫶🏼
I am glad to hear that when kids grow up it gets easier. I am in the stage of little kids getting into everything and it hard to find alone time. I would love to see a video on your moms Swedish death cleaning journey.
The multiplication table pop it definitely helped motivate my oldest daughter. Also trampoline multiplication practice. She would say one multiple on each jump, I bet that could help for your boys also if you have a mini trampoline. ☺️
I always begged my mom to homeschool me growing up, While I was “successful” in the public school environment I feel like I didn’t learn how to learn, just how to regurgitate to pass tests - and that is something in adulthood that I am trying to re-educate myself on. watching you go over the curriculum for your kiddos gave me such a yearning feeling, this is exactly what I wanted as a child. I wish there was a homeschool curriculum for adults 😅
Natalie- I lost my sweet mama over three years ago. I ache for her every day. What helps is watching videos like this, seeing an adult daughter spending quality time with her mama. It brings me back to similar times with mine. Thank you for sharing this. ❤
I just love seeing Natalie with her Mom. Their dynamic is just so fun to watch. I may be alone here in the chat when I say this... I'm single (super single) at 32 and I adore my Mom and how tough she was. I'm crappy with my organization and in life in general XD and that's why I watch Natalie. I believe that if Moms have the ability to get their life together while also making sure that their children grow properly, I could also do it. I may not be married, but I am a professional teacher so I consider my students as my children. Thanks for the inspiration, Natalie and I love this community so much.
Natalie, I am a momma to 3 little kids 5 and under. I'm from a developing country, living in the USA now and currently homeschooling. I had no concept of homeschooling when I was growing up, so I am figuring it out as we go along. Your words about your mom at around 19:30 brought tears to my eyes! I pray that my littles see me striving to do the best that I can for them. What a gift and like you said, a legacy!
This was so good. It was nice to see your mom! We LOVE The Good and the Beautiful in our homeschool. The science for little hearts and hands is our favorite!
Your mom!!! I'm so excited! I haven't even started the video yet but I saw her and I'm thrilled! I love your content and I super love your content with your mom in it!!!
I love, love, love that you are a second generation homeschooler!! All of my children who are married with children of their own homeschool them! YES! I am blessed! Nice video!
I grew up in public school and had a great, small town experience. For various reasons I never thought I'd be a homeschool mom. But! We started in January and are loving it so far. I enjoy getting to learn right alongside as a bonus.
I would love to see more of your Mom's swedish death cleaning journey. I am also working on the swedish death cleaning journey and appreciate all the motivation!
📚 I just love the back to school season. It’s so nice to get back into a “routine”. I just love your mom! My mom and I have been decluttering her house too (she also homeschooled) so I can so relate!
📚 What a great inspiration! Looking for garage sales/rummage sales for supplies and curriculum is such a great idea! And hearing more about how the Swedish Death cleaning process has been for your mom would be so neat to watch.
we have 7 children and am so very thankful that our children went through all their items before they moved out. NOTHING was left here from them. If I found something after the fact that belonged to one of them, I sent a picture. If they wanted it, they picked it up if not, I tossed it. Because most of our friends homeschooled as well, as our children outgrew the curriculums we had here, we were instantly able to pass them on
Yes! I was more than willing to take anything and everything when I moved out but it wasn’t readily available at the time and is just now being brought out! Better late than never. 😌
📚 as I watched you go through those books it brought back so many memories. I homeschooled 4 and my youngest graduated from college in May (*sniff) we also used Abeka curriculum (among others) for our homeschool. So encouraged to see a 2nd generation homeschooler. Love Lume, isn't it the best! Minted cucumber is my favorite scent. Love your videos! Would love to get to know your mom a little better too. Watching from southern WV.
This would have been fun sharing with your mum and then with your kids. Love the idea of a video with your mum as a guest sharing her decluttering journey ❤ loved this video. Did Weston see your childhood days school supplies
Lovely to see your mom and hear about her decluttering journey; I sympathise, also being this generation. I cleared my 100 yr old grandmother's house and possessions (for which I hold great fondness!) in the UK in 2017 and just as I got those treasured things to our holiday home in France - which I had previously decluttered from my parents' taste of the 90s - we were faced with picking out a host of beautiful things from my mother-in-law's house after her death here in Switzerland a year later... believe me when I say I don't need thrift stores or antique stores, she had so, so much beautiful heirloom stuff. Since I don't believe in keeping things I don't use, this gave me the opportunity to sort through our own belongings after 30 years of marriage and decide that I preferred using the antiques to the Ikea! As our house is way smaller, I have to be really picky about what I can keep without getting overwhelmed, and with my girls grown up and six grandchildren to entertain, it means being really selective and yet still thinking ahead to their futures. It's practically been a full-time job just pulling together several households (my MIL's mom's place never got cleared 15 yrs ago, either :o) and now my mom is downsizing to move closer to us... So far, so good, I adore using our relative's things in our everyday life and thinking about them whenever I hold an object in my hand, and if, occasionally, something gets broken, we don't mind too much, it's there to be used!
I would love to see a video where your Mom talks about going through her parent’s items. I am doing that right now, and it’s hard to know what to keep and what to let go of.
Recently I found myself seeking some cozy content and body doubling motivation (learning how to work with my own ADHD) so I've been rewatching a lot of your videos both older and newer. I find them both calming and encouraging so thank you for all the good you're putting out into the world
I have a used homeschool curriculum store 10 minutes from my house. I love it! It’s great to be able to take what we don’t need and get credit to help cover what we do need

Well, that was a lot of fun, and a I owe you a big thank you for helping me declutter the school supplies and curriculum! 🙌 So glad to see it going to good use, and discovering a new life! 🥰
No thanks necessary, mama! It was my pleasure. Like I said- BEST back to school “shopping” I’ve ever done!
What a lovely surprise to see we have the same surname (?)! I am from South Africa 😊

Can you do an updated version of how you manage the homeschooling with the kids and home making and working
Your mum is so gorgeous; more of her please ❤ 📚
Love the Narnia cabinet closet thingy 🦁 Your mom is such a joy to listen to, I love it when she makes an apperance in your videos. Would love a messy to minimal episode from her home! 📚
I'd love a review on the treehouse schoolhouse curriculum ! I've been eyeing it up but would love to hear a review !
I love the Well Educated Heart philosophy for homeschooling. A balance of heart learning and mind learning. It is amazing!

I'd love to see your mom's decluttering. Loved to see all the teacher stuff as I was a teacher for 34 years.
And of course we would love a video with your Mom on any subject!
I would L❤OVE to see you and your mom work in a Swedish death cleaning task! It’s so encouraging to hear others go through their own thought process.
Oh yeah, any videos of decluttering with your mama would be fun!!
Natalie, love seeing your mom in your videos; such a sweetheart. (hugs)
I commend you for homeschooling in this era we live in. I feel it’s actually a safer bet for our children nowadays. 🙌🏻
What you said to moms of littles is so encouraging! I have a toddler and a baby and it feels like every day is spent swimming upstream!

Yes to more of Mom!!
Definitely more with your mom...I would love to see you helping family or a brave friend declutter. You are my absolutely favorite channel❤
📚I would love to see your mom in another video! Good luck with a new school year!
WE LOVE the nature studies!! I have 3 boys and my oldest (8 also Liam!) LOVES them and it's his favorite part of homeschooling.
I find them both calming and encouraging so thank you for all the good you're putting out into the world
📚 Thanks for a great video! Good to see your mum again.
📚 I Just love videos with you and your mom!
Love the plaid phonics books!!!
I have a used homeschool curriculum store 10 minutes from my house. I love it! It’s great to be able to take what we don’t need and get credit to help cover what we do need
