this has the feel of a casual round with the gimme tap ins and pick ups at the basket. I understand these guys know each other and have comraderie but it's still a pdga b tier event and should be played as such. especially if it's being filmed for the entire world to see.

Pretty good coverage, although you do miss that second camera, your decision to film both cards is understandable.
+LFC303606 Yea it was a tough call for sure. When we saw the tight grouping at the top we really debated what choice to make for a while before deciding to split up. Thankfully most of the holes here are ok with a single camera, but it would have definitely been nice to have both on a few of them. Luckily there was a backup on 11 that allowed us to film with both cameras (for both the chase and lead card) because that hole really doesn't look good with a single camera.
So jere picked up Nikko's disc on 17 and I am assuming counted it as good.
But this is definitely a penalty on Jere, and maybe a penalty on the other 2 for not finishing out. Yes?
+nataskaos He did the same thing for Tateki's disc on hole 4. Maybe we're missing something?
Those baskets though! Looks like any put could pass right through or hit the pin and bounce out. Looks like baskets i would hate haha :)

The disc Nikko throws off the tee on 4 is pronounced see-nus, not sie-nus. That was killing me during the Lava Creek video when Isaac Lockwood kept asking if he should "clear his sinus"...haha...
+adam page Hahahaha. Well I did think it was really weird to have a disc with that name. Now I know! I'll pronounce it correctly in the future. Although it's a lot funnier to pronounce it wrong so you can make the "clear your sinus" joke. :-P
So many pick ups and no marks of discs doesn't make a good impression on anyone that is watching this. Pro players should follow all the rules, even in this casual environment of a tournament. If someone is watching this for pointers or guidance on how to play....it is not a good example. I love the coverage, but I feel that this card was a little too casual with their play. That being said, I love the coverage that you provide and I enjoy watching all the videos. I know that if the players in this video were in a larger scale tourney, the pick-ups and no marks would not happen.
+Roger Vartabedian Yea I gotta agree with you. It would be nice if players followed the rules 100% at sanctioned events.
With you being a commentator, I'm a little surprised that you didn't even talk about Jere treating this tournament as a casual round by picking up other players discs on holes 4 and 17. You shouldn't do that in a tournament, as Paige Pierce should us at Memorial, anyone could randomly miss a tap in and change the entire course of a tournament.

+Thelorn Lewis Also it clearly says "Chase Card" in the title of this video... and yes I do mention it 15 minutes into the video... but Don and I also talk about it immediately in the introduction after the sponsor logos right at the beginning. We actually spend a few minutes talking about it... I thought I made it as clear and obvious as possible actually! ;-)
1000 rated player doesn't mark lie, picks up people without them finishing? He knows its a sanctioned tourney right?

I have to agree with the masses here. Jere showed no integrity for the game and really just lost a lot of respect from a lot of players/viewers including myself. Looks like he smoked himself stupid before the round too

Not marking lies, tap in of other players and throwing with cigarette in the hand oh boy... what a BAD example of a PDGA event. Could not watch till the end, please no more this kind of videos... I'm supprised Nikko accepted this s*it.
+perssekyll I must agree with you that I really wish the players had followed the rules. I'm not sure why you are asking for "no more of these kinds of videos"... it's not like I have any control over the players as the cameraman. And in the case of this chase card video my girlfriend was actually filming because I was following the lead card myself. But in any case, the videographer has no right to interfere in the round. He would have had to be called out by another player or event official. What exactly would you like me to do next time I travel to an event and start filming only to find a player not following all the rules? Just take my camera and leave in the middle of the round? :-/
