@@mlgssj763 C# major is actually not that difficult on a trumpet. Trumpets, generally speaking, don't have much more difficulty with any particular key than they do with any other particular key. That "French horn" had a full bladder! 😅🤣👌🏻 Brilliant, DARLING! 😂 I love how it started at disgust and turned into a whole spiel about segregation from Magneto or something!
The spit valve thing was so true. If only it had been a French horn, you'd have to take out all the slides and turn them, put them back, blow into the instrument to see if there was still spit and when there is, you have to empty the valves again..
Hello sir Trent, I have a question. As you being able to play a woodwind (saxophone) and brass (trumpet) instruments, what are your thoughts about a woodwind player trying to learn a brass instrument? Im a saxophone player and im having doubts whether i should learn how to play trumpet or not because of people saying that it is not advisable and it could destroy your current embouchure and etc.
I am an intermediate saxophone and clarinet player, and I just started learning trumpet last December. It's a bit hard to start, as there are few qualities that carry over between instruments, but it certainly isn't doing anything negative to my clarinet and saxophone playing. My only problem with playing brass and woodwind is that it is very hard to switch directly from trumpet to saxophone in a practice session. Your embouchure ends up temporarily adapting to the trumpet when you play it, which makes it feel weird playing saxophone next. If I practice my sax and then the trumpet though, or wait a bit between playing sax after trumpet, I have no problem.
I managed to screw up my embourchure switching back from bass clarinet to the clarinet I couldn't get the high and low notes out for a while. Now I'm switch to tenor sax and have trouble with just the low notes. I think it could happen weather or not it is brass.
As funny as this video is, it's a _little_ frustrating having this as the first result when searching "learning brass as a woodwind player". I'm mainly a saxophonist and I wanted to take up low brass for drum and bugle corps. This video always tripped me up to say the least...
Hey Trent I was thrift shopping a couple days ago and found a Bach model 1530 trumpet for 20 dollars USD and I had to pick it up (I've always liked the sound of it and always wanted to learn) I was wondering if it would be a good student trumpet or is it a little too good quality for a mere simpleton to be wielding?
This is probably the funniest thing I've ever seen in the music category. That spit valve though, to produce that much spit in five minutes, that person was playing a dodecaduple A (AAAAAAAAAAAA).
He missed a possible gag when draining the water from the trumpet. When done, to get the last little bit off, he could have shaken the trumpet up to three times. But. of course, not more than three times.
