    Rusty - great book to read 'The Riddle of Roman Catholicism'. As non Roman-Catholic Christians we often don't recognize what a tragedy the Reformation really was. In One Faith w/ John Michael Talbot, they sing of God scattering his people faith, as a punishment.

    AN ANSWER TO REMEMBER
    .
    .
    "Lord remember the time when I was so down and I began asking you rebellious questions?
    I asked if it was really true if you are powerful;
    I have asked that why then is evil and suffering present in this world.
    I am sorry for that.
    If I questioned your plan or whether you really have a plan.
    .
    .
    But it was the most comforting answer I ever heard.
    (For I commended some of my friends when they tried to give an explanation:
    One told me that it was only in this dimension where I have my own freewill that love will exist,
    And another told me that only through this ultimate test of the existence of evil that you can create an unwavering trust and love in me;
    All of which the end result they say is so that man can enjoy you forever as you in turn manifest Yourself to them).
    .
    .
    But you revealed so much more, You poured Your heart to me, in an aching heart you said,
    "But from the beginning it was not so" (Matthew 19:8).
    I then burst in tears and I can't forget your gentle hands wiping them when it kept rolling down my cheeks.
    How much you were misinterpreted!
    How much you were slandered!
    How much you were evil spoken of!
    .
    .
    When all this time this is what you wanted to do, as You have said,
    "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!" (Luke 2:14)
    And that infact, even though You are our God, you are the Owner and Maker, yet before you came into this earth and became man like us,
    Your angels declared,
    "On earth peace, good will toward men." Matthew 23:37
    Your banner was love, for You "so loved the world" (Jn.3:16)
    You didn't come to condemn us, neither to make war with us.
    But it is US that alienated ourselves from You.
    "We simply would not"
    You came unto Your own, and Your own received You not. John 1:11
    .
    .
    Now I fully understand that it was not what You intended;
    It was not Your will.
    Most of it all, our woes and miseries, are because of the hardness of our hearts (Matthew 19:8).
    Altho' you have Your persmission, but all the evil that issued from it are not from Your hands---
    Neither came from your heart.
    .
    .
    For "every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." James 1:17
    And "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:" James 1:13
    You even said, "For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matthew 7:8-11
    .
    .
    When Lucifer rebelled against God, he became Satan---the devil;
    And when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit, they sinned
    And were thrown outside the Garden--- the entire creation were cursed for their sake.
    I will not then be deceived, now I know that we were born in an already evil and fallen world,
    Only the Light that You are entered once more into this scene: to lighten up and make this world filled with darkness a better place---until You made all things new on the day of our complete redemption;
    When You have finally restored all things that sin has destroyed;
    When we are finally "delivered from the bondage of corruption" and be "in the glorious liberty" that you have prepared.
    Indeed this has been the reality unfolding that "the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." John 1:5

    I think Presbyterian's have those experiences more than any other 'denomination' I've experienced. Interesting point though...

    It would appear that the most recent comment from yeshuaservant7 is misinformed. Does this person actually believe that if we just believe and pray for healing that the person for whom we've prayed will not die, ever?!?!?

    Is this a response to the video or another poster? I think you might have missed the point.

      I think that was Martin Luther King Jr's number when he was sent to prison. If it's not him, it's one of those civil rights activists.

    Lamentation has it's place and is scriptural--but believers are to believe, speak forth, and do the Word of YHWH--in FAITH. If you say the person you have prayed for, to be healed, is going to die--you have wasted your time and that of the person seeking healing from Yeshua (Jesus). Either stand on the Word or don't.
