Most games these days model gun imperfections, even as far back as Black Ops 1. The only thing I rarely see is stuff like sand and dirt ingress or corners of sight posts being worn.

@@onatkorucu842 Looking at the sky reduces the number of assets to be drawn on the screen, effectively reducing the load on the CPU/GPU and increasing the FPS.
This effect is most noticeable on lower end systems.

this is an concept ive been thinking abt for a while when realistic shooters started to pick up popularity instead of only having weapon malfunctions i have never seen an game that makes human error a part of the gameplay aswell
one occasion though, in tarkov fast reload (double pressiong the R key, which is common in stress) can cause you to drop mag on reload. Clever put controls i would say, since it really adds stress as variable in losing spare mags for the future and after big shoot out you should look for them. Not exactly error, but feels like one and i think they intentionally put it that way

I’ve only had my oculus for roughly a year now but I adore games like onward and Pavlov, both games are similar but their communities and features vary enough. But something I adore from both games is the reloading, it’s incredibly satisfying, I mean even in onward where I have to check to see if the mag still has ammo, and if it does is it worth just tossing it anyway or keeping it, while a simple choice it can take up to a second to make that choice, never mind actually doing said action.
I find it insanely unsatisfying, There is no real tactile feed back you just blindly grasp into thin air hoping to hit the hotbox for the mag on your person and then you blindly "reload" in thin air as well. There is nothing satisfying about doing an air reload in real life or in vr, The idea is cool and a good start but there needs to be some way to actually bind real-life objects to in-game actions, When I can buy vr ready mag props and gun props that are incorporated into vr to give me real-life actions to match my in-game actions then it would be truly satisfying.
Or even just let me use a prop gun and real mags I have laying around.

If i made an FPS i would add this feature but make it alot less punishing and luck based so when you're running some reloads have a higher chance of messing up but when walking it's very low and when still its really really rare, also yes the reload fails would be a faster realization unlike in the video where he seems annoyed and confused, so just a quick fix.
I think this should be a real feature in a tutorial section or something, like the player is learning how to reload efficiently or smth

I get what you're saying and agree that graphics have come a long way. However, as real as it may seem from the go pro or what have you, it isn't like actually being behind the gun. Your eyes will wander, and because of that, you are capable of being much more aware of your surroundings in real life than you ever could in a video game because of the need to point your rifle wherever you are focusing.

But like when it’s recorded at that perfect angle that looks just like it would in game, then goes through TH-cam making the graphics worse it's really hard to tell whether it's real-life or an incredible render. Especially the angle it's taking place, pointed at a sky with no visible terrain gives the impression that it's rendered, not to mention the incredible body gestures that look as dramatized as they would in game.

@@garrithdaly4541 well the first two we can clearly see a feed lip for bbs, the third he does a lil ADS action so we can't see a feed lip but the logo on the side of the lower looks a lot like an Elite Force logo which is a popular airsoft company. With markings that make it look like a field rental gun. Would be odd to have 2 airsoft guns and then finishing with a real one. I do agree you shouldn't be waving firearms around in public airsoft or real, some airsoft guns with the orange tips removed look extremely real, and some real Glocks with fancy modifications look like toys. Always look at anything that may be a gun as dangerous. But hey at least they're fake because the neighbors will be less concerned and he can produce more funny content.

I always thank the magic of video games to allow me to reload even when I’ve only shot 4 out of a 31 bullet magazine and I get to keep my 27 spare bullets magically for later.

You have a little bullet goblin in your vest that loads your spare mags for you and converts any ammo you pick up from enemies into your caliber in exact copies of your mags.
Sorry for ruining it, but I think the mags u refer to are 30 rounders, you get 31 when you load a new full mag without shooting all the rounds from the previous one, thus leaving one cartridge in the chamber
or it could just be that u have a set amount of mags and when u reload u swap for a full mag but later on u will get that mag with only 27 bullets in it 😮

Some games do have reloading failures sometimes. I remember how a Battlefield game had an animation where you would get a Garand Thumb by reloading the M1 Garand. Really nice when games have details like that.
Yeah when it's realistic, all this dude did was strip the oil out of his guns. I was in the military for 15 years, I've never had an M4 have a bolt release jam, I've had the bolt not get sent forward all the way, but never once has the release been jammed (I've never even seen it happen to anyone). My problem is that I hate when people try to prove a point but they artificially create the problem, he is trying to make a case for realism.... but the scenario he crafted isn't realistic.
I hope there's a game that the operator having a change to fail when reloading
