“Have you ever?!?”
“NO I’VE NEVER!!!”
“WHAT A FINISH!!”
Every time there’s a photo finish I think of DW lol
Have you ever?!?
Yes. Like 3 times this year
And DW would still be interrupting. “And…” “LARSON!”
@@ThatNascarGuyand each one keeps getting better
i miss DW.. booth hasn’t been the same since he left
We need definitely owe Chicagoland an apology by giving her a date this car and race proves that this car can put on outstanding racing on these 1.5 mile tracks we definitely need to bring it back but we also can’t ignore how chase and truex was also battling for 2nd and almost made it for a 4 wide finish
Yes i would love that I got into NASCAR when Chicagoland was no longer on the schedule and I would love to be back down there to watch more NASCAR races
Was the one race to I went to every year. Miss it so much. Once the street race is off contract it might come back
Chicagoland and Rockingham definitely need to get dates next year. Rockinghams turns are banked enough and fast enough it’s almost an intermediate and if they give it the right package it would most likely be super duper good.
@@aaronlarson4358yes I wish neither track got removed Rockingham would put a damn good race on
Absolutely! I’ve been saying the same thing.
I like how Larson said that we need more mile and a half’s I really hope nascar decides to put Chicagoland back on the schedule 😁👍🏼 That was an amazing race!
He probably didn't say that because he won.
@@hollygolden9673 that could be true but I think a lot of people can agree the racing at these racks with this car has been great. I’m also a little biased about Chicagoland so that’s also why I want it 😂
Let's not knee jerk react shall we....it's like after Atlanta and people wanting more of that. You CAN have too much of a good thing.
Yes then bowman can win again
Just move the Chicago "street race" to Kansas.
Buescher hasn't been this emotional on the radio since the summer Daytona race in 2022... he was fired up
No kidding
The second door rub just before the line... Is what scrubbed all of his speed off! To me it looked intentional by Larson.
Forgot about that one
@@OldsmobileCutlass1969Va Intentional for sure. Wish Larson would've raced him clean cause he still would have won
@alexfleming0381 isn't that just racing, though? I mean, I'm all for safety and not wrecking people, but can we let them race hard a little bit...
I’m gonna say this. Noah Gragson makes up his points penalty and barely sneaks into the playoffs. He’s now 19th in points. Still has plenty of time.
If Hendrick and JGR keep gobbling up the wins like Pac-Man, yeah, big possibility here. I'll even go a step further and say Noah could very well git win #1 before Ty does.
@@Dude-zm4gj he’s was good at Darlington in the xfinity car. Maybe this week
Kyle's spin caused the closest finish in Cup Series history, and he still got 8th!
I am no longer mad about the spin. I can't what for the Coke 600!
KFB is a fucking beast, 20th to 8th is 2 fucking laps
Might be the most anticipated 600 in recent memory
2016 and 2021 winner here
Bro is garbage
As soon as I said KB is gonna have really good finish that happened 😂
We really had the closest finish in NASCAR history, to the biggest heartbreak in NASCAR history. Hopefully Buescher gets a win this season
He will. It’s coming for sure
I say buescher could make the final 4!
@@miketwotwenty hell yeah
@@miketwotwentyDavid Pearson and Matt Kenseth won championships with the #17 Chris is next
3 100%s goes to tell you how amazing this cup season is
This might just be the best season ever
2014 chicagoland clips??… nahh… 2024 kansas clips are supplying the twitter likes for the next century. 😤🗣️💨
after this race NASCAR needs to give a date back to Chicagoland
No, they need to give a date back to Kentucky
@@alanjohnson911Did they add more roads getting in and out of that place?
@@mikek749
Yes they added several in/out after the first race debacle
I took two friends to Kansas!!! They had never seen a nascar race before and they stunned when everything was said and done
Years ago a friend of mine took some folks to a sprint car race .. they had never been to any kind of racing event and they too went crazy and he couldn’t even get them out of there until they went down and met some drivers and talked to others … COOL STORY …! 🏁🇺🇸🔥
Nice.
It was an honor to meet you at kansas!!! I was the shorter guy with a beard and was decked out in bubba gear! What a race!
I met him in srx Berlin it was cool
Why would you admit to being decked out in bubba gear. It’s like admitting to wearing your wife’s thongs.
Yikes
"Shorter guy with the beard"?... that certainly narrows it down.
@@olripper2700”decked out in bubba gear”…that would narrow it down plenty
To be fair it wasn't just Fox (or rather FS1) that assumed that Buescher won, MRN did also assumed he won as well.
I think we all NEED Chicagoland Speedway to make a return. I for one am desperate to see how these cars would race there on the aged surface
The best closest finish I have ever seen again. Let’s get this started, we’ve saw battle for the lead, pit stop strategy, air flow control and I’ll give a 99.9% ratings.
The F1 race finishing right before they went green in Kansas was elite
At least Max Verstappen didn’t win.
Timed out very nicely.
I switched over and thought I'd missed it... then I figured it out.
Truex was so close again to getting a win this season and something cost him yet again this year, I'm honestly starting to feel bad for him. I'm happy my favorite driver won though
If it weren't for the last caution Truex would have won.
Feel bad for Buescher, but the photo doesn't lie. No matter which line you look at, Larson edged him out by an inch. Just an effing inch. What an amazing finish. Best race I've seen in years.
I've been saying for years. Kansas is the best 1.5 mile on the schedule. Hands down.
It was kind of boring with the gen 6 car. Like 2020 where Harvick had a much better car than Logano but couldn’t make the pass for the win because he stalled out in dirty air the moment he got to him
I thought atlanta was close 😂
I drove down to Kansas from Wisconsin last year for the spring race. Best sporting event experience in my lifetime. Great experience from parking, prices, product on the track and leaving the facility. Kudos to Kansas Motor Speedway!
Kansas Speedway, no motor in there.
Some teams had no answer to the temperatures and time for this track but man for the ones who figured something out. Wow. What a race. Back and forth all race long with different drivers. This might be the best of the season so far
The ending overshadows that most of the race had the lead contested seemingly every lap. Great race the whole way through.
Man, Truex had this in the bag! Too bad that caution came out. That was an awesome finish!😀
Yes, I wanted to say this too 👍
This was wanna the best races ever on a non SuperSpeedway, Wreckfest, 4 and 5 wide racing, AND THE CLOSET FINISH IN HISTORY WOOOOO
Kyle Larson made Harry Hogg look like a genius 33 years later. In 1991 Harry said, "If you go to the outside, you CAN HOLD IT!!" Lol
Petition for Kansas to get the season finale
👇
Too cold.
itll get snowed out
It would be awesome! But with the weather, probably just not possible. Kansas does need to be a cutoff race. Probably my favorite race track right now. I go every May,and its so entertaining in person
As a Larson/HMS fan, would not have been mad if Buescher would have won. Earlier in the race when he made it 5 wide and jumped to the front you could see how bad he wanted to win and how good that car was. Amazing race. Was definitely worth the wait.
Larson was right in his post race interview, we need more of these intermediates the car is so good at them it's a shame we don't have Chicagoland on the schedule
After Cindric spun and hit McDowell I was about to turn the race off in frustration and I'm glad I stuck around.
Shoutout to Gilliland and that 38 team. Staying out towards the end I thought was a death sentence especially lacking the fuel. But they held on just long enough for Busch to spin and despite a poor pit stop he managed to finish 14th despite running around 25th all day. McDowell managing to wheel that battered car to 10th was also nice, breaking that stupid streak of mistakes
I've been saying since it was announced, Larson's going to win one of his Indy 500 attempts. I wouldn't put it past him to win both races in the double, in all honesty.
He is proven to be able to win in anything, especially something new to him. Watched him win on dirt at Gas City Speedway before he ever raced in Nascar.
YET LARSON IS HATED BY SOME FOLKS … GO FIGURE…? 🏁🇺🇸
Been waiting for this video!! We need more 1.5 on the schedule. What an awesome time to be a Nascar fan. Used to get a finish like that once every 5 years. We’ve gotten 2 in under a month!!
Classic nascar finish! 2003 Darling style with beating and banging ti the finish
The power went off at my house with about 30 laps to go
That is tragic
F*cking bad luck
My condolences
MRN in the car
I was so heartbroken thinking i would spend the rest of my life watching highlights of larson losing a race by literally nothing lol so glad he got the win but still feel bad for Chris
I’m a Larson fan but I would’ve been happy with either Larson or Buescher winning… I couldn’t believe how close that finish was!!
That is race of the year right there.maybe even race of the decade. One of the best races that I've ever watched as a hardcore Team penske fan. There was nothing in this race, that I didn't enjoy. We need more 1.5 tracks because that race was amazing.
Eric your work is amazing and I always look forward to your videos!
Another solid weekend for the 21 car he's now second to last in the points 😂
But Matty D was the problem ford has fucked the 21 car alot recently.
It would be safe to say Burton knows he’s done in the 21 after this year.
They fucked up getting rid of Matty d. Harrison was good in xfinity but was not ready for cup.
0.001 can't hardly get any closer, not to mention the 5 wide for 1st place when Chris B threaded the needle. What a show.
I think it’s crazy to me that the CLOSEST finish in nascar history Came at KANSAS? I for sure thought it would’ve been at Dega or Daytona
Actually, it's Daytona. Yesterday's race was the closest CUP finish. The closest finish in all NASCAR history was the Daytona Xfinity race in 2018 (0.0004 seconds).
Before yesterday, Dega was tied with Darlington for the closest MOV at 0.002 seconds.
Good stuff as always looking forward to hearing your thoughts on all the Darlington throwbacks
I was excited to get to meet you on Saturday! I was guy in the blue Ross hoodie that asked for a picture with you! ! Been a fan of your channel since back in your Double E cup series days 😂
Congratulations bro 👍
The one Kansas race we miss. My son was playing soccer 3 miles away from the track. We go twice a year and the one race we miss…ugh! Get your tickets for Kansas. BTW, it is one of the cheapest tracks to go to! You will love it if you have never been!!
Seeing your name at the top, celebrating down the backstretch and in pit lane, thinking the drought is over this season, then... NASCAR spoils the party with the official photo finish. That has got to be the biggest gut punch, not only for Chris Buescher and his team, but Ford as well...
Still, what a race! I've gotta add Kansas to my bucket list of tracks to see in person! I think it actually is the closest NASCAR track to me (that or Texas, I'm sandwiched in between them in Oklahoma).
Instant classic. The finish wasn't quite the same as KuBu/Craven at Darlington, but the whole freaking race was nothing but constant fighting, and mostly clean at that.
This season so far feels like a double edged sword. The racing at all but intermediates has been sub-par, but when we have a banger, it's a bloody banger.
Stage 1 really showed us that we were in for one hell of a race but no one could have guessed exactly how crazy of a finish we would get!!!
Sucks for Truex, but that was a darn good race!
100% from me! And glad I got to meet you this weekend! Much love from KCP
This is the year of the photo finish and this race once again shows it on display this was hands down the most wild race I’ve ever seen and I think it easily tops Atlanta definitely the race of the year in my book
we need more 1.5 tracks i swear this car is so good at those tracks
Good to meet you man, I really appreciate the time you took to talk to me and my brother. Definitely have to cover that SHR drama!
I’m so upset that I missed it but hey some days you’re the bat, some days you’re the ball. Glad you got to see it in person as this has me excited for Darlington this weekend and the 600 at month’s end!
Truex is always getting screwed by a late caution 😭 but the finish made up for it
Yep, first RCH and now here
I agree Eric yesterday 100 for me as well. Loved it! I think I have enjoyed more races at times way more than I have most of the 4 and a half years at least.
Thank you for taking a photo with me over by Victory lane!! Will be returning myself in the Fall
Just an unreal race. As a Byron fan I felt horrible for Buescher and RFK, they’re so close to getting that first win of the season.
Thank you for that explanation of the finish and why Kyle Larson was declared the winner. Makes sense because when the transponders hit the line Chris was ahead. But when the noses hit the line, Larson was ahead.
I was thonking that too
It was real cool to meet you on pit road before the ARCA race! Sucks I had to go to our box so soon but I’ll be there at charlotte!
What was an amazing race topped off by an amazing finish!
So glad I was there to see it!
Glad you got to be at the track yesterday. It was a great finish. I really hate it for the 17 but I’m glad the five got the victory.
Eric brings it every video!
Feel so bad Buescher, so damn close!!!!
Understandable
He had it until Larson rammed him twice when he was already running the bottom and Larson had all the room in the world.
@@hollygolden9673 Chris tried to slam Larson in the wall.
@@hollygolden9673 chris hit larson first coming out of turn 4, watch the replay again. and thats racing thats been in the sport forever, stop crying about it
@@Eric-lv9su Boo hoo when I want to.
The fact some people think this race was boring clearly confirms to me they know nothing about racing at all not every lap is gonna be all out people need to stop acting like it can be its not but we should be grateful for the great racing moments we do get each week
busch on the final restart was insane. started p21 and in 2 laps drove to 8th. his onboard during that is really cool to watch
Thank you for the video.
Thanks for explaining the photo-finish.
Got to meet you yesterday before the rain came was fun weekend
Well even though that finish was awesome, I don't see a FORD getting first place in all 3 series. I told people on Facebook about this prediction, looks like my prediction was right.
was there. Last lap saw it coming and pulled my camera out and mane, will never delete it such amazing race
Great racing Buescher.
Being there is person was wild, it was probably the best race I have ever been to!
Whether the painted line is official or not isn't a big deal. It's the only visual reference that the fans have and they need to make sure that something that is so simple is painted correctly.
This is the first race that I had the privilege to attend in person. I wish the finish had gone the other way, but... not sure I'll see another to top this one.
I saw you in the pits just before the start of the race, but didn't get a chance to say hello then and didn't see you afterwards.
Byron was in the top 10 during the melee at the beginning of stage 3. He had slow pit stops and started talking about a vibration in the car during stage 2.
Love your show
Family attends this race every year in the spring. Great experience, perfect race
I was on the good side of a photo finish this year at Atlanta with Suarez, now i get to be on the bad end with Buescher.
Those last 10 laps were really a rollercoaster, from the tension of the fuel mileage potential and Truex creeping up, to the caution saving Buescher, to that finishing sequence. All 7 stages of grief in the span of 15 miles
I decided to tune in during the last 40 or so laps. The amount of times Bowyer had used the drawing software to point towards the gaps on the timing tower felt insulting.
The Greatest Finish of All Time! Atlanta doesn't come close. It was certainly an "enigma".
Take the restrictor plates off at Atlanta & see some actual racing.
As an Elliott fan I was gutted we got 3rd. We should’ve finished way worse than that so I’m really happy we got 3rd last night!! Just gutted knowing we had a chance and didn’t get it. It was a shocker for me we got 3rd and I’m glad we got it! Onto Darlington
At least Chase Elliott has a win this year.
@@bighand1530 that’s true!! All in all it was a great race. I love Kansas
@@landon8590 I hear ya. Can’t wait to see what next Sunday has in store. Though I’m probably gonna comment a lot about this race throughout this week.
Kyle busch with a great come back from 20th to 8th place he starting to find his Groove‼️‼️
Larson is a true old school NASCAR driver. Wreckers or checkers. He goes for it and drives it to the hilt.
What a finish, I had to bug out and missed it. Looked amazing on the broadcast.
So glad to say this is my home track!
It can always be closer!!! I’ve seen a dead heat before at the track 0.000 seconds?! lol
Even though I have been to one NASCAR race (Pocono) Kansas has been added to my bucket list. I wasn’t going to, but the last few races has made me NEED to go
That 2022 100% was the Coke 600 I believe. We still have the Coke 600 to go so we might get a fourth
Thanks for the transponder/pylon/camera explanation. For awhile, I thought Buescher got robbed.
What an absolute blast of a weekend! If you had some chips and salsa and were fucked up from Cinco De Drinko. Then that finish. Yep good shit.
No joke this race has officially persuaded me to buy tickets for the fall Kansas race, time off permitting.
Lovin the groovy gauge! Classic finishes that i send my non-nascar friends. They are missing out on history!
“May the photo finishes be with you” Damn right
Epic race! Epic finish!
6:52 photography hands sent me 😅😅😂😂😂
Two back to back wild close finishes Kentucky Derby and the Kansas race wow 😮
Great race with an amazing finish!!!!!
Hey Eric this race was amazing
I don't think anybody in the world would've bet money after Atlanta that there would be TWO intermediate finishes that were even closer before the year was even half over
The race being at night as well is fantastic. Besides being super cold it looks so much nicer. They should do it more but a little later in the year. Like late may or early June as a night race.
