W.A.S.P - The Idol FULL Guitar Cover w/Vocals

- The Crimson Idol IS THE BEST Concept Album EVER!!!
There are only two concept albums in the world that really matters to me and they are Queensryche Operation Mindcrime and WASP The Crimson Idol. These two albums has it all. Great riffs, great songs, great guitar work, great vocals, etc.
The Idol is the 8th track of the 1992 album The Crimson Idol and I just had to cover this great piece of music. Blackie Lawless is an amazing vocalist and the passion in this song gives me a lot of goosebumps. Looking around on the web for any studio covers for this song, I found none. So I decided it was time to tune the old ear and start tabing and listening to this song over and over again until I could figure out what goes where.

You are totally right. Queensryche and W.A.S.P. rules concept albums. Very nice interpretation of this great song.
Well done! It’s mind blowing that this isn’t a famous song/guitar solo. It’s not even in the top 10 most popular songs of this band. The guitar playing reminds me of Pink Floyd. Definitely my favorite solo and you played it so well.

Awesome job. I have to agree... I can quite easily put The Crimson Idol and Operation: Mindcrime among even my top 3 favorite albums overall. My third would probably be Iron Maiden's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. I can listen to those 3 albums front to back and never get tired of them.

The dive bomb? or when I start the solo? That first note of the solo is done by fingering two strings at the same time. Think here I did the 20th fret on the b string and 21st Fret on the d string.
