Ginger is SUCH an underrated heroine! They found a perfect line between feminine and tomboy, and they don’t stray from showing just how grim her situation is and the fact that it terrifies her but she keeps making the sacrifices she needs to save her friends. 💖
Fowler, the crusty old rooster is my favorite character. He makes a great addition to the flock. 'Overpaid, Oversexed, and Over Here!' was a FL complaint by the English about the Americans stationed there in WWII.

Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run are hugely underrated, and I think a Chicken Run sequel is finally in the making!
Just the soundtrack on this movie literally gives me goosebumps, it's so good at telling the story, especially when they're rushing to build the plane.
Just the fact that everything we’re seeing is handmade. The hand-painted backgrounds. The models. The sets. And a lot of it was sadly lost in the fire that happened at Aardman Studio a few years after this movie. 😭 But ALSO the fact that we’re getting the sequel soon and a bunch of those lost assets have been recreated for it. If that’s not a comeback story, I dunno what is!! ❤️

So excited to see you get to this one, Aardman films are so fun! Their Wallace & Gromit and Sean the Sheep works are also worth checking out, especially _Curse of the Were-Rabbit_ 🐰And actually I think _Chicken Run_ is still the highest-grossing stop-motion film to date. _The Fantastic Mr. Fox_ would be an appropriate follow-up to this, another stop-motion film that's from Wes Anderson. I don't remember if you've watched any of his films yet, but he also has a lot of good ones, finally got to watch _Isle of Dogs_ recently and thought it was amazing.

The actress of Mrs. Tweedy is the actress of Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter. No surprises there. And the actress of Bunty played the role of Dolores Umbridge.
I remember watching this when I was young and the animation style (claymation?) scarred me for life and now seeing this again after about 20 years I can say it still terrifies me and fills me with great unease😂😂😅
As an adult I now realise that Ginger would never lasted so long on real life because in real life if a chicken keeps escaping you'll just get annoyed and kill and eat it

Also this movie has one of the most unique aesthetics I’ve seen in a movie, let alone animated. 😄 It’s a late 50s military aesthetic with British-American culture clash elements and also farmcore. 👍🏻👍🏻 WEIRD. 😆

This movie draws much of it’s inspiration from, and makes many references to the 1963 war movie The Great Escape, starring Steve McQueen, James Garner, James Coburn, Charles Bronson, and Richard Attenborough. It’s a great movie, and one you should consider reacting to.
