I was given a jewelry kit for Christmas a couple years ago and I taught myself how to use mostly everything in the kit but there was some stuff that I had no clue what it was used for 😂😂 but I had fun teaching myself how to use mostly everything and now I really enjoy making jewelry
I started my own "jewelry shop" on storenvy, and I got a jewelry kit for it after I out out my first couple products, the set came with so many things I didn't know the purpose of, but it was useful?
just a tip that i do, when u open a jump ring try using 2 pliers and pull them apart the other way (like sideways instead of outwards) it makes them less likely to get misshapen !!!
@@chicka-boom7540 lol i'm self-taught, i've never watched videos or anything on jewelry making since the science behind most of it is self-explanatory.
@@oddgal No hate or anything. I was just saying. I'm self taught too but I learned very quickly that if I opened them that way they would be more likely to be deformed.
omg i couldn’t stop squirming in excitement, thinking about how i NEED to do this RN,, but you’re a great teacher and you go through explaining at a pace perfect for my pea bran ! and, and i love your style :> i wanna see more diy vids from u
Wow. This was so informative yet simple. definitely going to head to Walmart to DIY some of these. You should do a try-on choker/necklace collection :) Hoping you'll make more vlogs! lol
If you want heavy aggressive stuff get some chains cut at home depot, I've used them for belts, necklaces, and other stuff, they are heavy, big, (really hard to cut without the proper tool), Next project: I'm gonna get a good looking backpack to use as a base for patches and stuff. I'm gonna cut the backpacks straps off and replace them with heavy chain. It'll look (and sound) great on my motorcycle haha
That’s really not a good idea,, the nail polish has chemicals in it and when u put that on your piercing it can wear off and stay in your ear which can cause some serious infections:)
Bbyyirenee Sometimes you can find silver plated or plated chains/necklaces but they do tend to wear off after a while, try and find out what you are ok with (things like stainless steel, sterling silver etc.) If your in the UK I know HobbyCraft has silver plated chain and if your in America you could try Michaels hope I could help 🙃
Hypoallergenic earring hooks are available. I've gotten them at Michael's and at Hobby Lobby. The nail polish on the cheap wires is not a good idea. The polish will wear off over time, and may irritate or infect your piercing. Get the good wires. (Jan Griffiths).
The O rings at home depot are usually for strapping things down, or, holding something heavy, etc, they are rings with high weight loads, capable of withstanding a lot of tension,
One tip with the lock necklace---don't lose the key. I did, and had to cut the chain to get it off. I learned my lesson, and now the key is on my key ring. (Jan Griffiths).
I've got all my jewelry that I made myself from Hobby Lobby. And recently, I've made a shirt and Hobby Lobby is where I found all the material. That place is like a second home for me
I’ve always been super into this type jewelry and more gothic stuff but never really had some money or knew how to make it and one of my friends where’s a lot of chain stuff like an e girl so now I I feel like I will look like I’m copying her since she where’s them all the time
That happened with my ex friend, she accused me of copying her when we shared very similar styles. Just think about the type of person she is and maybe tell her before wearing it?
Wear whatever you want,if she accuses you of copying her just say you like that style too. If she tries continuing to accuse you of copying just ignore it,she shouldn't dictate how you dress
I make jewelry too, and I love your ideas and techniques. I go one step further. I solder all my jump rings closed. No way are they coming open accidentally. (Jan Griffiths).
Guys just a small tip for safety. While your doing your safety pin necklaces/braclets..etc just press on the opening part of the pin with the pliers so it can be closed tight and can no longer be opened! Hope that helped😊😌
Emily Rose oh thank you so much that really helps! I’m trying to start a business with my best friend and we want to get into the jewelry business. Sorry for asking a lot but do you have any tips we could follow?
I would say what probably help the most is being able to stand out from everyone else! The more unique the pieces the more you’ll be able to create a “fan” base and those people will be more likely to come back over and over!
Don’t think so, as i mentioned you might want to search the internet for real silver, usually silver jewelry from craft stores and such are super cheap and these won’t last as long as they will start discoloring, especially if you’re wearing them everyday.
Not sure, it probably is, it just depends on what you want more quality or for it to be a cheaper project, as I said the fake silver will not last very long if you’re wearing daily
If you’re referring to the big o ring necklace i mentioned that its better to open up the chain instead of the actual ring itself or you probably won’t be able to close it back up
Everything is super cheap if you get stuff (jump rings, necklace clasps, chains) from walmart, like everything is under $5 (separately.) Charms on etsy are super cheap too if you buy from one shop to save on shipping. Packs of 5-8 charms cost around $2-$4. I personally buy my charms from the etsy shop Bohemian Findings.

Quick tip for the ribbons: if it's polyester then you can burn the ends just a little so they don't unravel. Its gonna last a lot longer then.
Omg thank you so much for this tip!! 🖤
Or you can put clear nail polish at the ends.
tip for people who are allergic to cheap earrings - try coating the hook in clear nail polish, works for me! (Also thanks so much for this video 🖤)

I didn't see the razor one. Do you make the razors dull before using them as jewellery?
No!!! Do not use real razors as jewelry, super dangerous!! I mentioned all of them are charms you can find on etsy!!!
ive been making 90% of my own jewelry for years now, sm of he trendy stuff can be diy'd in like 10 minutes for half of the price
Lol I think that’s that was the whole point of this video?
where did you buy those charms?
She found them on etsy, but you can also usually find small things like that at craft/fabric stores.
Ik this is idiotic but LOL
Whats the thing you wear on fingers (not ring) the long thing with a sharp edge
1:33 yes i do need that
Very nice!
I love your style! Keep going on with you YT channel :-)
