I believe her goal is to buy the originals at some point (maybe already have as you said), but Scooter is probably still receiving money from it, so that could be the reason for her not to say anything. Also, the Taylor' versions are giving her and the fans a lot more than she expected.
It would be a bold move to buy them even after all these years bc the re-recordings are taking value away from them. Imagine that instead of buying them for like 300m in 2019, she now had the chance to buy them for like half or at least 200m. She’ll own her life’s work and also eventually she’ll be the only one profiting bc Scooter won’t be getting money for a long time, maybe a few more years.
yeah I guess it also makes sense for her to not announce it until she has released all the re-recordings - although we would be hyped for the re-records regardless 😅😅

I hope and am sure it will happen! 🙌🏼 Let’s be honest, some of the originals are way better!! I would stream and like and cheer for all re-recordings but , in my opinion, the best part about re-recordings are the Vault tracks, new music videos, visuals and new collars.
PRAYING this is true, and that we still get a re-record of Rep and Debut. I love the stolen versions having grown up on them, but i understand how Taylor's version gives the proper credits to the artist as far as ownership.

It’s really upsetting to me, because, as someone who struggles with bad OCD and stuff, a lot of the re-records have flaws such as buzzing and stuff that isn’t present in the original. But I can’t go back and listen to the OG without feeling SUPER guilty. It’s a bit tiring for me…I wanna support Taylor all the way, but I wish she also owned her originals too at some point. Do you think they just forgot about that and decided to just move on from the originals? I’m holding back hope I can someday listen guilt free…
