Hi ! This has been So so very helpful My mare pulled back on me last week & yep she’s now sore & tight in her hamstrings Spoke to our vet I have been resting her , massaging her hamstrings and walking her twice daily over 4 ground poles I had farrier come and check her feet as well Because when I rode her she had ears back and didn’t want to walk off Thank you
So glad this was helpful :) She was definitely trying to tell you something with her lack of forward. :) Hope you shared my channel around - it really helps :)
Agree! I do these 100% on my own, so sometimes I just don't have a horse available to do this. If anyone else does have one, I'd love to edit to include :)
My horse def has this from a partial hamstring tear that happened in February. It’s not obvious at the walk anymore and I can manually stretch the lake forward almost completely to the gas line. What sort of under saddle or ground exercises do you recommend for this level of recovery? I sometimes when I ride he feels fairly normal, other times he feels totally broken. I’m not sure what the next steps are.
This video was the first time visiting your channel. Thank you for nicely presenting this info. Will be watching more of your videos
Thank you so much. It has been awhile since I added new ones, but this will start again shortly!

Your video is informative but it would be helpful to have a video of a horse with the condition as a reference.

You didn’t show what you said you would at the end
oops will look at that :) thanks

Have you had your horse fully vet checked - this would certainly be my next step
@@CazedarnesEquestrian yes he is under consistent care from a vet. He gets laser and acupuncture every other week for the hamstring.
