Thanks, I appreciate it. Some of the videos get a bit repetitive but if you watch them, you’ll certainly learn your way around the city. Thanks for watching.
Wow! Your channel is really growing. It looks like you have figured it out and I foresee you really exponentially taking off from here. Keep doing what you are doing because it is working. Great job!
Thanks Logan! My number 1 video for subscribers is one that you called from several months ago. The Rome travel tips video. I made the mistake of changing the title name and it has dropped since.
Very good overview of Testacio, which is so much less touristy than some areas. We did stay there years ago on our only trip to Rome. So, I think it's fine for first timers if you have a several days. We stayed on Via Marmorata near the Ponte Sublicio Bridge. We had no idea we were so close to the Aventine Hill, and completely missed that.😪 But we did cross the bridge into Trastevere, a quaint, cool neighborhood. While we did use the Metro, took a cab once, we easily walked to most of the sights. It's not that bad of a walk to the Roma Ostiense railway station from Testacio, especially if you are traveling light and want a train to the airport. The Testacio Market seems much bigger, with more eateries than when we were there. The people in the neighborhood were friendly too. Volpetti's is worth a stop, yum.
Absolutely brilliant vid. You do an amazing job of presenting all this info. It is super helpful. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I cant wait to visit Rome equipped with all your info. Amazing! 🙏🏴
Great video, and I love the itinerary. The pyramid tomb very impressive built right into the Aurelian wall! And right behind it is where John Keats is buried. Now I know another good place to stay.
You've overlooked one of the trashy wonders of the ancient Roman world, literally right in the Testaccio region: Monte Testaccio. Monte Testaccio is an ancient dump site, but not a haphazard mess. The Romans crushed used olive oil amphorae after use and carefully built up a mountain of shards from 60 BC through late period or 260 AD (the oil becomes rancid and the containers cannot be reused). You must book a visit to enter the park.
Nicely done. I agree with you that Testaccio is not for the first time visitor, unless they are very adventurous! Have you ever stayed in the Pigneto neighborhood?
@@RozierRoma I stayed there before the metro connected and it was a drag to the centro storico. Now that the C line connects at San Giovanni things don't take as long. It is pretty cool neighborhood, and the graffiti is pretty cool to wander around and see..
Thanks for letting me know I will give it a try. I was in the neighborood not too long ago visiting a thrift shop there. Seemed like a cool area from my little lime there
@@RozierRoma I did a tour (in Italian) of the inside of the Piramide several years ago (maybe 2010?). It was available through COOPCulture and only available certain days of the week. My son did the tour in 2018, also in Italian and it was much more popular. It would be worth researching if one is interested. For me, it entered through a tunnel (had to crouch over) into a chamber. There were frescos on the walls, and you could see where robbers tried to tunnel in. The guide said that the robbers assumed that the pyramid would have treasure like in Egypt, but it was similar to any other Roman tomb - a place to visit and revere the ancestors.

Is there anything inside the pyramid? Great video and helpful information. Thanks much.😊
I know it is a tomb but I do not know if there is a way to get in or not.
