The boy looks totally European and Iranic. But the girl has Asian Turkic features (as most Tajiks have. Pamirians are not Tajiks btw). I haven't heard her speaking Yaghnobi/ Sogdian.

We are not Persianized, our dialect is so different from Persian that it can be categorized as a separate language. The problem is that an official Persian variety is used in School, TV etc. The regular tajik dialect is unique in terms of grammar, phonology, vocabulary etc.
