I'm married to this Abyssinian hornbill

While the behavior is quite funny, the story behind it is less so. Before ending up in this zoo, this hornbill was raised by humans which caused him to improperly learn how to form a bond with its species. Offering twigs like this means he wants to build a nest with me. He's supposed to show this behavior to a female of his species. The zoo is trying to teach him by placing him with fellow hornbills. As can be seen in the later footage (different dates).
Just goes to show why it's important to let wild animals be wild. This guy would not survive if it was freed.
