The argument against using Ocean water is that is leaves a salt residue and would need to be cured afterwards. If you asked the residents, would they rather foot a bill for having salt residue on your property or lose your home? What do you think they would say?
The Eaton fire in Altadena CA that started the week after the palisades ; started because of a down power line tower in the foothills , over 1000 homes were burned down aswell as businesses
The Canadian Super Scooper are designed for ocean/lake water. That was never an issue. Nor was water an issue. The Stone Canyon reservoir holds 3.4 billion gallons and was fully functional.
So LA could’ve had this guy as the mayor who used to work for water and power and is an entrepreneur and very intelligent businessman. Or who they chose. 🤷♂️
The failure to replace the water reservoir cover has resulted in a staggering year-long delay, which could arguably be deemed criminal neglect rather than mere incompetence. Currently, the estimated damages associated with this negligence are projected to be around 350 billion dollars.
They're making room for the Chinese. Increasing homelessness, crime and the threat of wildfires without being able to insure your home, even if you rebuild. Then when enough Chinese nationals are in government and the people are outraged, they will make it liveable again.
