As a British child of the 2000s... You either grew up being terrified of animals thanks to deadly 60, or much more fascinated by them. Luckily I was the latter, but I still wouldn't really want to wrestle with this. Massive respect for Steve. Ashame he doesn't do this more extreme stuff any more.
This dudes such a goober it makes me laugh every time I see his videos he has such a likable air about him and literally always has things go wrong hahahaha
I heard actually the most painful is a tie between the costarican vespa wasp, the bullet ant, and the executioner wasp? I saw the coyote vid but didnt the sting pain index get updated recently/
When catching wasps it's usually best to lift up the net by the tip, since it's the wasp's natural instinct to crawl up. That way they don't crawl under the edges of the net.
wonder if its poss to have this wasp vs the giant mandarin wasp and the executioner wasp fight,,u know 1 vs 1 tarantula wasp vs executioner wasp and then vs giant mandarin wasp/Hornet
If a human gets stung it won’t have the same effects as if it were to stung a tarantula. I hear if they sting a human there will be no serious danger .
donovanng1 nah. This was uploaded on TH-cam recently. However this was shown on tv over 10 years ago. I used to what the deadly 60 as a kid. I remember this episode
He calls the wasp's behaviour 'grotesque' but there are a whole world of predators out there who will eat their prey alive or cause intense suffering - Clostridium tetani is a single cell - be careful in applying human emotion to the natural world, it sounds rather asinine.
That may be so, however the wasp paralyses its victim, drags it back to its burrow, and lays a single egg on it. The larvae will then eat the victim from the inside out starting with organs less required for its survival so it stays alive as long as possible. Did i mention the prey has no ability to move or do anything?
@@geist8844E.g Jewel wasp . It's not a simple case of paralysis - it's more subtle than that . It's about behavioural control . The wasp leads the roach , it doesn't drag it , it's legs still work .The larva doesn't start eating from the inside . It matters not for he calls it grotesque as it brings out our worst fears . It's simply elegant ! Nature has no time or need for emotions or morality.
What is it with you Brits and cornering and pissing off terrifying creatures? Just leave them be and quit pissing off the wild life. We've developed hi-res cameras and zoom lenses which negate the direct interaction with such creatures. Have none of you shame?
Eh what's the problem? Don't see it myself he's a naturalist bringing us great footage. Sorry you come across as a troll. And in this case I might have been tempted to kill it....nasty creatures. (Not that I would as even the shitty life on this planet I let live).
You are acting like this is is the first time anyone has ever done this. Next you will be saying stop capturing posionsous spiders, snakes and scorpions to extract their venom- to produce antinvenoms.
@@supersmasher246 Nope. I wouldn't say that at all. There's a clear line of difference between capturing a venomous animal to extract venom for life saving antivenin, and capturing a wasp for a good shot for a camera.

@@YaNansCrustyToe you're thinking of Steve irwin, backshall is very much alive😂
@Wood Ant I dunno who I like more then... backshall or Irwin
@@YaNansCrustyToe both legends obviously, but I just grew up with backshall more, although by that point when I was about 8, Irwin was gone already😢
Man, Pokémon GO looks a lot more intense than I remember it being.
This is the most underrated comment ever
Oh yes, he catched a beedrill
"I've got to be very careful how I do this
* clumsily chases it *
I wonder what happened next. I mean, the wasp is clearly pissed off. You can't just let her go. I guess she'd seek revenge...
she escaped multiple times and just flew off.. i guess flight is easyer than fight in this situation.

Cool bug
She'll simply flow away. Solitary wasps/bees are not aggressive. They simply have no interest in stinging if they're not threatened.
DestinationVoid if someone trying to catch you with a net and held your wings are not threatened enough, I don't know what will
Her 'beauty' was never fooling me mate, don't worry about that. I'd be running a mile!
He reminds me of a mix Tom Holland and Steve Irwin and I love it
Bear Grylls be like: “That’s supper for tonight!”
Protein packed!

Most painful wasp in the world gets out of the net.
Me: RUN!
This guy: o no lemme go get her
He caught a Cazadore? Not bad. Not bad at all!
There's a certain Courier who can attest to that notion of 'most painful sting.'
1:58 Don't worry. I'm not fooled. 😑
Thumbnail looks like steve irwin
This guy's name is Steve too.
Absolute mad lad
oh don't worry Steve, I am certainly NOT fooled by its beauty
I forgot just how mad this man is
I can't even stand a bloody bumble bee and Steve is just holding it from the wings like it's toy
Oh so they have rebooted the Deadly 60, after so many years.
Beauty? Beauty? Are you freaking mad?
Wow gr8 catch bruva love hearing them zoom by they sound like a lil heli.
I promise, I won't let her beauty fool me.
Not one of my most fav creatures on the planet as you can imagine! Great vid though.

Ok you found me, now it's my turn to catch you.. leave me and run 🙂..
Btw, Nice job I love insects too ,😍.

The Brit are crazy bunch, now they're chasing wasp?
I keep tarantula in my living room 🕷🕸🇬🇧

I'm naming my band "Tarantula hawk wasp."
A wasp thatvmakes a whole trough the net . Whoa! Leave it alone .
I got it. I got it
I ain't got it.
Kids mad!
0:38 aw, pretty slick 0:40 but I'm slicker
why you holding it buddy

What dangerous animals
Mini cazador
Beautiful wasp but I have never been a fan of wasps. Leave me with honeybees and I'm happy.
Here in Brazil is common...
Pain only lasts 5 mins I read. Unlike bullet ant which is 24 hours
Cazador from new vegas
Wanted to see him let it go cos that would have been entertaining
The question is how he will remove HAwk from his hands.
Coyote said a Japanese Giant Hornet stung worse than this ...
ok, he picked it up, held it by the wings, talked about it's deadliness etc, but, how did he let it go without this thing killing him?
Coyote Peterson, most powerful sting in the world ey? Hold my beer.
♥️fromvietnamese
whos bright idea was it to choose a black net?
I read this as eating the tarantula wasp
wonder if its poss to have this wasp vs the giant mandarin wasp and the executioner wasp fight,,u know 1 vs 1

is he realted to steve
I thought they just put their eggs in the Turantula?

the pain will be the worst thing youve ever experienced
Now what?
That's a Male.. 🤔 no stinger...
Actually the bullet ant is more painful
It's creepy
Now how you going to chase a tarantula hawk wasp with a broken net.... Like how do you chase one at all 👀🙄 just a stupid situation that work out
I made this wasp :)
The man is more dangerous
Every insect on the planet has the most painful sting on the planet I heard this millions of times 🤷♀️

I think calling nature grotesque is wrong. Natural predatory behavior is not grotesque.
Coyotempeterson did it and faster
You're hurting it shame on you!
Your right, he grabs it by it's wings and then keeps moving the insect like it was dead. I soo wanted the wasp to sting all of them.
It did not die because hes an expert
