What is the reason of travelling to those countries 4. What is the reason for travelling to US. And my interview also lasted for 3 minutes 😂 And I was denied too
This is actually helpful because now when I am gonna apply for visa I will be careful with answers... Also being in Canada I can definitely say India is the best place we just need to value it and work on it ....

One of the major reason your US visa got rejected was your earlier rejection of Australian visa. The big 5 - Canada, US, Singapore, Australia and UK have a common sharing data and any Visa getting rejected in any of these countries marks the person under red flag. I am from Australia and aware of certain laws.
I had two refusals from canada and now i am going to apply for US interview and they ask me to hide my masters and will apply US interview on bsc degree but the fact is i showed my master degree for the canada now I am confused is it right to get interview on my bsc basis
Some points I feel would have helped getting the visa (assuming an unbiased visa officer): 1) Language: I think the rate of selection of those giving interview in English would be higher due to first impression of being confident in English. 2) Funds: US generally requires you to have funds comfortably enough for a US trip rather than just enough. Also you mentioned that your parents will fund you "in case you have some shortage of money" might have given the impression that you are likely to fall short of money. I feel it would have been better if you had mentioned your parents are fully funding your trip (along with their bank details and relevant documents) since their salaries would be higher than you therefore giving more confidence that you have enough money. Along with that, channel income as additional income. 3) Assumptions: Although you would be using hostels, couchsurfing, airbnb or other cheap options for your stay, the visa officer assumes hotel stay price for his calculations to determine whether you have enough money. This could be the reason why the visa officer felt you wouldn't have enough money while you thought otherwise. Also the cities you mentioned are among the most expensive ones.
If you are looking for US B1/B2 visa then you have need to do some homework before attending an Interview at US Embassy, you should try to get US visa in first attempt later they will not consider your application much by US Embassy Keep in mind there is AI used by US Embassy world wide that's why they don't want to see your documents at the time of interview your application has been decided earlier officer seeing your application's result on their computer screen. 1. Applicant try to give interview in English language instead local because you are going to States where English is the primary language of communication instead Hindi or Punjabi, officer will assessing your eligibility for US visa and homework which you have done before attending an Interview. 2. There is no need of any documents only your personal Interview will decide your eligibility of US visa. 4. +profile, Applicant is married have wife and kids in India, working with MNC such as TCS/ INFO SYS/ DELL/ IBM/Gen pact/Accenture or he is a business man earning in Crores in India, (AI report attached with your application after processing and clearance received from FBI Database to believe whether applicant is not a threat to US security) and he has traveled to twice UK in the past for short stay not for 6 months in this case Consular officer will awarded you US B1/B2 visa valid for 10 years. 5. -v profile, Applicant has no travel history in the past, unstable circumstances in India, no family ties, he has lied in application form or tried to make his visa application more favorably, miss-representation of facts given in application form, he has multiple refusals from other embassies, he is not able to speak English language during interview, criminal record found or name hit situation in FBI Gateway/database, Its a doubtful case. For my USA visa interview I was asked only one question "What is the purpose of visit"....It was just 2 minutes interview.......In Chennai USA Consulate 2017.....I was lucky........Also I had a invitation letter from Apple Texas office so I think that helped a lot...moreover office financed it for me.......I have visa valid till 2026. B1/B2 visa.......
I guess the reason why he was not selected is because interviewer does not felt that he would able to finance his trip as he also mentioned to visit Las Vegas. And also interviewer would have felt that he is not genuinely interested in visiting American by his answer of "purpose of visit"

Where I am from? Kind of basic questions. But that day I felt that at some place grooming is important else everyone will misunderstood with the naksals or terrerist.

Sir, Getting Usa visa is not an ultimate destination , Yes i would like to touch one of the important aspect of psychological aspect of our societal behaviour, and even u may have experienced yourself. The general belief in the society is that American educatiin system, their lifestyle and security is much better than our own country. Which many times disappointed me. We need to see our society in broader spectrum . We are best in education, culture, tradition etc. So Dear the rejection from so called intellectuals should not demoralise the confidence of any one. I have some other points to add to this topic. It is not about bhav bhadane wali bat bro. Every country has a set of procedures and we have to respect that. Our country India also has a lot of procedural delays in most of the things even for Indians. Shakal wali baat is not true to a great extent unless koi alag se rockstar ban ke nahi ja raha hai. (I have seen someone in the embassy wearing flashy clothes with a lot of gold chains and all). We might think they have not seen anything while interviewing but they actually do. If anything a person says which doesn’t match with the information in the form is definitely a red flag. Other thing is as you also mentioned about people coming through Mexico route. Illegal immigration is also a big factor for extra scrutiny and due to this even genuine people have to suffer as happened in your case. Intent of coming back to the home country is what they mainly want to see during a tourist visa interview. Unfortunately, a lot a people work illegally on US tourist visa (B1/B2) and even worse they stay back even after visa expiration. Due to this people who genuinely want to visit and travel face the consequences. I shared my perspective as I think these things are also important to consider while discussing this topic. The information could also help some future US visa aspirants.
Trump administration was always in favour of stricter immigration rules. Whenever a rule was passed especially regarding H1-B visa, Indians used to sweat out. Now the new government has reversed everything.
I understand your frustration but no one forcing some one to apply and pay the embassy fee. We should understand well before applying that there is a chance of rejection and prepare for it in advance. As for the guy in the video, I think he has the inferiority complex. No one judge you by your face. Personality on the other hand plays an important role. The interviewer try to judge you from your behavior and answers whether you are a genuine traveller. But they are also human so they make mistakes. But I think confidence and preparation is the key to cracking this interview.
@navankur, I got my US visa in a single shot as I had travel history in schengen area. Interview process was pretty simple, Interview time:- 1 min. Questions asked:- 4 1. Purpose of visit? 2. Location of visit? 3. Funds of trip? 4. Purpose of travel to schengen area? Verdict: visa is approved. P.S. Applied in delhi. Process was smooth. Though I could see from the faces of people that rejection rate was high. God knows the exact criteria but I guess travel history matters the most. Based on my experience and my friend's visa experience(may be wrong), they were not convinced and worried that you might not have strong ties in your home country and may not return, as many people have travel US like this and have not returned.

Don’t worry you can try again after you travel some other country’s. I am in USA for more then 35 years and I own 2 companies so I can help with invitation latter and also for your stay because I own 2 timeshares .
Same thing happened with me as well bro...back in 2016....i had to wait outside in queue for at least 1.5 hours and the interviewer asked just 2 questions - What do you do and purpose of visit....even though I had genuine invitation letter, my visa was refused. Interview finished in less than 2 minutes

In my experience with US visa, the decision is almost already made. They ask very basic questions which obviously seem like they're screening for honesty. Chances of success are more from south Indian embassies than from delhi as maximum illegal staybacks are from the north.

I have some other points to add to this topic. It is not about bhav bhadane wali bat bro. Every country has a set of procedures and we have to respect that. Our country India also has a lot of procedural delays in most of the things even for Indians. Shakal wali baat is not true to a great extent unless koi alag se rockstar ban ke nahi ja raha hai. (I have seen someone in the embassy wearing flashy clothes with a lot of gold chains and all). We might think they have not seen anything while interviewing but they actually do. If anything a person says which doesn’t match with the information in the form is definitely a red flag. Other thing is as you also mentioned about people coming through Mexico route. Illegal immigration is also a big factor for extra scrutiny and due to this even genuine people have to suffer as happened in your case. Intent of coming back to the home country is what they mainly want to see during a tourist visa interview. Unfortunately, a lot a people work illegally on US tourist visa (B1/B2) and even worse they stay back even after visa expiration. Due to this people who genuinely want to visit and travel face the consequences. I shared my perspective as I think these things are also important to consider while discussing this topic. The information could also help some future US visa aspirants.
Trump administration was always in favour of stricter immigration rules. Whenever a rule was passed especially regarding H1-B visa, Indians used to sweat out. Now the new government has reversed everything.

my earlier b1b2 had only 6 months validity ..usually people get 10 years..if people dont misuse their tourist visa can they get 10 years next time?

$160 per applicant and rejecting in 2 minutes after waiting for hours and this happens daily across cities.

I understand your frustration but no one forcing some one to apply and pay the embassy fee. We should understand well before applying that there is a chance of rejection and prepare for it in advance. As for the guy in the video, I think he has the inferiority complex. No one judge you by your face. Personality on the other hand plays an important role. The interviewer try to judge you from your behavior and answers whether you are a genuine traveller. But they are also human so they make mistakes. But I think confidence and preparation is the key to cracking this interview.

That kind of line outside US consulate happens everywhere. I applied US visa in France and there was a long line there too.
@navankur, I got my US visa in a single shot as I had travel history in schengen area. Interview process was pretty simple,
Interview time:- 1 min.
Questions asked:- 4
1. Purpose of visit?
2. Location of visit?
3. Funds of trip?
4. Purpose of travel to schengen area?
Verdict: visa is approved.
P.S. Applied in delhi.
Process was smooth.
Though I could see from the faces of people that rejection rate was high.
God knows the exact criteria but I guess travel history matters the most.
Based on my experience and my friend's visa experience(may be wrong), they were not convinced and worried that you might not have strong ties in your home country and may not return, as many people have travel US like this and have not returned.

Overall it depends only on the mood of officers nothing more than it. I taught 2 candidates and they got visa but I got refusals.

yes.. very harsh usa embassy... i suggest use 'doctor' profession as introduction everywhere... people of older generation generally do not understand concept of vloggers and travelers ... best of luck

V informative. U are exactly right. Mine USA was refused 3 times from London. I visited Japan, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, France. I live in U.K.. they only give visas to those who intend to go and work in USA. If u are genuine visitor they refuse. They choose wrong

Don’t worry you can try again after you travel some other country’s. I am in USA for more then 35 years and I own 2 companies so I can help with invitation latter and also for your stay because I own 2 timeshares .

Same thing happened with me as well bro...back in 2016....i had to wait outside in queue for at least 1.5 hours and the interviewer asked just 2 questions - What do you do and purpose of visit....even though I had genuine invitation letter, my visa was refused. Interview finished in less than 2 minutes

Sirji, I agree with you, Hamne sabse jyaada chadake rakha hey USA ko. I have seen these kind of long and long lines in Mumbai. Go to some other country where we are respected. In some countries Indians are really respected. and we will respect them and start go there.

@@UnmeshaMishra They know. They have enough data at their disposal. Govs share data as well. One Google search can tell you what someone does. In my experience with US visa, the decision is almost already made. They ask very basic questions which obviously seem like they're screening for honesty. No way they don't know answers to what they ask. Just be truthful. It's the same at immigrations.
