Shocked she denies it. She is from Canada actually and grew up in the Mississauga area, which is a high Filipino populated city which means she was surrounded by Filipino culture whether she likes it or not. Jollibee is there, seafood city and lots of cultural festivities going on all over the Greater Toronto Area too.

Shay could be identifying as Hispanic, not Spanish unless her mom has faint 3% or 1% Basque (Spanish) blood. Some Filipinos are not even aware of having either 1% or 3 % Basque (Spanish/Iberian blood) until a DNA test done. Her mom's blood we do not know exactly. In year 2024, even a faint 1% Basque blood would mean this Filipino has full blooded Spanish ancestors centuries ago. Apart from the Filipinos, no other average Asians will show Basque (Spanish) blood.
