It really could’ve been a good PR move by then. But I imagine they just weren’t willing to be anywhere near something with association to AEW at this time. I want to say this event was the weekend of their first ever show. And at this period in time WWE made a lot of moves to try and stifle AEW because they thought they’d be a threat. This was the time period where they started renewing tons of guys for a lot more money to make sure they didn’t go to AEW. I miss the optimism the surrounded AEW at this time, where there was a chance they’d be a genuine alternative mainstream show to WWE. Always disappointed that they didn’t live up to that. Still hoping that they somehow reverse course and do it, though seems extremely unlikely at this point in time.

I don't think he was. I think he was trying to play Babyface, notably with his mention of how he offered to bring in HHH or Stephanie with a big donation to Conor's cure.

I love this stuff because conrad went from successful fan "jackoff" to literally putting a spotlight on the business that brought adults that hadn't cared about the wrassslin or wwe in ten years.... and as a childhood fan my memories I get to relive with these podcasts that conrad spearheaded on multiple channels I is why I want the wwe network is why on my sons baby shower we had Voice activate and movement activate John Cena Roman Reigns and Rock figures and the theme was wrestling for our baby shower three years ago... and I got to say the insight to the shinanigans in the business conrad has had to face is sad as a fan that was brought back to yester years and going to dive back in again for my son and his childhood to think maybe this isn't a thing I should expose my child too... not because of the product on tv but how its treating the workers behind the tv screen
