Thank you! :)
Watched the replay. This card is absolutely gorgeous!!! I take it this wouldn't work with the memento ink? I have never tried this ink.
Thanks Mary Ruth! I've done this type of card before with Memento and it works, but the blues can get a little bit "muddy" since the blending brushes will pick up the Memento ink. It doesn't smear terribly, it just makes the blended ink a little darker. :)
Watching replay from British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. Beautiful card. Can’t wait to see how you created it. Love the trees.
@@carolhamm3394 thanks for checking out my video! 😊
Beautiful card. What is the reason for using stazon ink - because you are blending?

Hi Amy,
Can you use the momento ink too?
Thanks Sherri

Beautiful card Amy! Could you use Memento black instead of StazOn? I don’t like the way StazOn stains my stamps.
I've done this type of card before with Memento and it works, but the blues can get a little bit "muddy" since the blending brushes will pick up the Memento ink. It doesn't smear terribly, it just makes the blended ink a little darker. :) And there is a StazOn Cleaner that removes the ink from your stamps too!
@ I was wondering how it might work with Memento if I did the background first and then stamped the trees with Memento on top of the background I created. I worry about StazOn ruining my stamps. I’ve heard so many negative things about it.
You can definitely do the background first and then stamp over it. Whatever works best for you! :)
Why did you use Stazon ink instead of Memento ink?
StazOn is a permanent ink that is alcohol based. Memento is a water based ink and so are the regular Stampin' Up! colors. I've done this type of card before with Memento and it works, but the blues can get a little bit "muddy" since the blending brushes will pick up the Memento ink. It doesn't smear terribly, it just makes the blended ink a little darker. Hope that helps! :)
@@StampWithAmyK So, if you are using blending brushes to do your background, you should use Stazon ink for your image? What would you stamp your image with if you are coloring the stamped image with Stampin' Write markers?
It depends on how much ink blending I'm doing. If there is a lot of blending over an image, I would probably lean toward StazOn. If you're coloring with blends markers and inking around the edges, Memento would be my ink of choice. Just play with them both and see what works best! :)
Watching the replay! beautiful card!
Thanks Becky! :)
Beautiful card!
