"indie Cindy" is not only a great Pixies album but also a great album, period. Most bands never replicate the magic or genius of their original releases, but this is a case where a band nearly tops their earliest releases.
Pixies music sounds like my internal world. This song is a masterpiece.

I really like Indie Cindy. I didn’t understand the negative reaction it got at all. I think a lot of “r journalists” and “fans” just didn’t want the Pixies to continue or make new music?
And Silver Snail might be my favorite song from the album. It’s probably the one I’ve listened to most.

My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I love you Myles, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life.

I was honestly somewhat surprised by how good "Indie Cindy" was. I was a little unsure about given the lack of Kim Deal, who I thought was a big part of what made the band what they where. But I was surprised. Hopefully we can have another generation of Pixies influenced bands.

Incidentally, a great sound. Songs of Faith and Devotion and Ultra are two of my favourite albums, and I'm not even sure exactly why! They just capture something no one else really has...
The Pixies are and were a totally Black Francis dominated band which is a great thing cause he´s a brilliant songwriter on one hand but on the other hand you´ll have these gifted, talented musicians like Kim Deal who just wants more than being the bassist in a cool band, you know? She somewhat was a face in the pixies but all in all it is Black Francis who defines the band and the creative way they are taking. If you´re ok with that it´s cool to be in the Pixies if not you have a problem, i guess ;) And that was the case in Doolittle or Pilgrim times or now. Black Francis is the leader of the pack and i heard he can be quite uneasy if you scratch that. Definitly a difficult person to work with i guess. I can understand Kims reaction... nevertheless "indie cindy" is a great album and silver snail is one of the best pixies songs since a long time. i love this song!!!
Indy Cindy is actually the best Pixies album. It's one of the best albums ever, up there with Sargent Pepper, Exile on Main Street, Remain in Light, and Dark Side of the Moon.
It's obscurity is explained by Pixies' fans bitterness about Paz replacing Kim Deal.

as a Pixies fan, it blew my mind when I learned J.B. had this to work his credit. He was a member of our extended family. It was devastating news for all. The family, community and many civic circles. The outpouring of community support, even by some of his harshest critics has been extraordinary. RIP J.

I love the Pixies. The new album is 50/50 for me though. This is by far the stand out track and by far the stand out video. Bodes well for future releases as I love the darkness of this, Andro Queen and Magdelena 318.

Zanoie Eionaz YES! A lot of they're stuff is so bizarre and surreal. I think they draw influence from one another possibly or Eraserhead definitely. If you like Salad Fingers two other David Firth videos you should watch are, 'Dog of Man' and 'Milkman'. Warning they disturbing.
