Run the gravel through an asphalt paver. Consistent depth, one pass, and done.

In Canada, we use the trucks to spread the gravel... they use chains on the tailgate to set size of opening and spread while lifting box, much less work for the grader or dozer to do....the grader really only has to touch it up a bit, some guys are that good at spreading...really depends on the deck man and how good he is at directing trucks...

The bodies on these trucks are so big, the drivers would be raising the body to fast and they would be sitting the trucks on the tailgates

I am surprised that the dump trucks don't have a chain to limit the opening, trucks go at a "SLOW" pace spreading the gravel, not "dumping" in two big piles

You're dumping your gravel too close to your shoulder come in you can always take it back

Watch dump so much material in one place and you got enough you can always come back in the ass where you're dumping you need to be off for feet from the shoulder but you got not going to do that
