Fun fact: back in the day, my brother was OBSESSED with Despicable Me. My dad is pretty crafty, so he spent basically the whole summer and a large chunk of fall making him a homemade minion costume. Unfortunately, I guess not that many people saw the first film in theaters, so people had no idea what he was 😅

7:50 - Oddly enough, I actually ran into these Minions while attending a convention in Atlanta called MomoCon around that same year (2017). Turns out that I had met those Minions about a month before "Despicable Me 3" would get released in theaters.
Also at some point, you should talk about all the multiple bootleg Minion costumes that you could find literally anywhere.
I remember reading somewhere that the original backstory of the Minions before they made the Minions spinoff movie was that Gru made them by genetically altering boxes of Corn Pops cereal.
I prefer that over the "naturally inclined to serve the greatest evil" thing.
Wait the backstory of unfortunate implications is a retcon? Why did they choose it after they became Illumination/Universal's money making cutesy mascots?

I was at Universal Studios Japan with some friends and as we were exploring the shops, all of a sudden this loud disco music comes on. And out came four minions just dancing in the street 😂

I worked at Minion Mayhem in USF back when I was in college. Part of the job was to stand at the ride exit over in the dance party for up to 45 minutes at a time. Usually we'd have one minion there for a meet and greet and one person in minion style clothes dancing when guests exited the ride... The song boogie fever went off every four minutes when the ride went out. Boogie fever, every four minutes... It's been years and sometimes I still hear it in my sleep.

When Minion Mayhem opened, a costumed Minion just stood there pretending to be a statue, let us take a few photos, and then waves to us, and we took more photos! Made 10 year old me really happy!

Dan I just saw beauty and the beast at holly wood studios and the enchantress was wearing a old Elsa wig combined with a prayer pan costume and has her trusty stage hands with a bed sheet with a teen behind it because the while the narrator teacups the story in 30 seconds. Some 38 year old man is suiting up in a beast mascot costume

Actually the creator of Despicable Me was Sergio Pablos (Who you may remember as the animator for Dr. Doppler from Treasure Planet and Tantor from Tarzan, as well as the creator of Klaus (2019))
Back in 2014 we did the Minion breakfast. We all had minion outfits on and my mum had made knitted bananas to give to the minions as gifts and they went wild over them 🤣. When they saw us again during the parade later in the day they made such a fuss over us. My niece and nephew had the best day.

This video is MINIONASTIC!! I am a huge fan of the minions and anything from Illumination. Since May 2012, I have met many minions at Universal Studios Florida and Hollywood. Also, I am a personal friend of a minion named Bob who appears at a Halloween event at my local zoo. 🍌

I don't always love every Universal theme park. The only thing that I always love about every Universal theme park is the Mardi Gras celebration that takes place only at Universal Studios Orlando Resort every year. Thanks for uploading this video, anyway, I guess. 🤷🤷♂️
