  • Welcome to another video from Keishidojo Martial Arts Unleashed, and the Martial Arts Unlimited Association. Today we have a new video for you on the Stinger XL Tactical Whip. This is a self-defense tool that is designed to be brought with you most likely in your vehicle. Equipped with a glass breaker and seatbelt cutter, this is a self-defense weapon in the likes that I have never seen.
    I first saw this on Hard2 Hurt with Icy Mike which I will link to his video right here.

      That would be a felony. Once you spray somebody with OC spray you cannot physically assault them, because technically they're considered to be helpless.
      I have the original Stinger tactical Whip and I've used it often. It is *_extremely effective._* There is no blocking and there is almost no dodging it. No amount of layered clothing is going to protect you from this . I had to use this against a squatter that had on about six or seven pairs of pants. They didn't help him at all. It also doesn't require you to swing it at full strength for it to be effective.

  • @macfive5912
    @macfive5912 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    I feel like the original version had a better sting to it. The thicker cable of the XL distributes the impact to a wider area so it doesn't give you that "Oh God, did that just cut me?!" feeling. Plus you can swing the original a bit faster and the cable actually whips more.

I'm a handgun carry permit holder, but I want a non lethal, non permanent damage option. The stinger whip seems to fit the bill. Getting hit in the arm, leg, or torso by this thing, full force, would surely be extremely painful, but I don't see it causing any actual damage other than a red welt on an adult. I put it in my car and hope I never need it.

    The collie stick sounds more aggressive and like it would hurt more. But that's just because it's solid, but it's wood and the whip is made out of metal and it's just like a swinging appendage that's not fixed. So it can get double damage if you whip it into the enemy. Plus it's made out of metal. I also don't think he was hitting it as hard with the whip. I feel like you could get much more damage out of the metal whip than a wooden stick.

    Yeah, I was pondering on not only the legality of carrying such a device, but the optics to a courtroom on what might be considered 'cruel and unusual'. God forbid your attacker is a black person; You'd be crucified in court. (Not that I agree with such unequal consideration, but that is the current state of law if and when the media gets wind)

    • @martialartsunlimited01
      @martialartsunlimited01  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yeah, exactly. If the strikes are kept to the core and lower, should still be able to claim SD. Not sure how it would stand in court, yet if the person attacked and the defender caused enough damage to get away, I doubt the attacker would report it as they were the initial aggressor.

    • @themadscientest
      @themadscientest 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean it is a weapon made to just create pain and not end a fight, it seems it would have very little use as a defensive weapon. The range is too close to keep someone away from you and too far to get someone off of you. It's better suited for use by the one who is initiating the force in the first place. I would advise everyone to kinda avoid the ones with the cable and just get the rescue tool that Stinger makes since that has actual uses and could save your ass on a bad day.

    • @mattrR678
      @mattrR678 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ideally if you have to pull this than the benefit outweighs the risk. Thr fact is that the stinger is less lethal than a knife, gun or taser.

    • @zukoHD
      @zukoHD 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@themadscientest pain is the exact way i end most of my fights. arm bars, key locks, guillotine holds, leg bars and tweaks. but those are not considered cruel or unusual. neither is me punching the nose the throat the ribs or liver.
      fact of the matter is the weapon is more humane than most self defense weapons. it gives you options. a baton is only effective at the joint or on the skull. and in the situation of the skull its quite often lethal. same goes for a lot of rigid stick type weapons. with knives, it is extremely difficult to fight without lethality involved considering if the other person is carrying one theres no real control over the action. a gun is great for backing people off, but if you have to use it they are probably dead.
      the stinger tho?
      unless you are stabbing someone with the glass breaker, that is the perfect deterrent for people to stop assaulting you, aside from pepper spray in my opinion.
      you cant permanently injure someone with it just by swinging (exception might be a nice hard throat strike). think of it like mace. mace is on the same ideology, just with the added bonus of taking out an opponents vision temporarily. its non lethal, but carries range that would be adequate to keep distance from an attacker. the whip acts within the same range as the baton, but if you full strike someone with the whip its not as likely to absolutely obliterate the skull --im not saying thats a fact, but from my understanding of weapons and there effectiveness id hedge numerous bets that the whip is less deadly, and causes less severe damage in general.
      instead of an attacker leaving the scene stabbed, broken in multiple places, or in some cases in a body bag, they leave with a bunch of welts and in some pretty severe pain. they live to learn from the mistake.
      i imagine one full force blow from the stinger placed in the right spot is enough to safely deter most humans from continuing to assault you.
      and as far as im concerned, there is no such thing as cruel and unusual when it comes to self defense. cruel is whipping someone or stropping someone for making a mistake. cruel is public humiliation for crimes instead of public service. cruel and unusual is electric chair execution instead of injection.
      causing someone enough pain to get them to stop attacking you and reconsider their life's choices is not cruel nor unusual. it is actually humane. you are teaching them a survivable and fairly harmless lesson, through yes, pain. however if someone is attacking you isnt that what they were planning on doing, causing damage?
      if the purpose of a self defense weapon was to end a fight in an instant, the only good self defense weapon would be a gun or a knife. everything else is too uncertain. but thats the thing. you dont have to end a fight by ending a life.
      you can change someones mind.
      the stinger is that option. you hit them, and it begs the question whether or not trying to attack you is worth it. if they decide to endure that pain and continue attacking, the stinger still gives you option, as i said before. there is a test of the glass breaking point as a stabbing weapon on ballistics gel here on youtube. the gel was over half a foot thick, it and went through the gel, through the metal baking sheet under it, and into the wooden test table. thus being the viable and very usable deadly force option the stinger provides.
      now there is always the argument of how difficult it is to use one weapon vs another. well heres some sage advice for all of you fucking mall ninjas. maybe if you buy a self defense tool, you should learn how to fucking defend yourself with it, and train with it, so that you are prepared and know what to do in any of the possible violent altercations that could occur.
      all of you are sissies tip toeing around the real subject matter, which is that its a whip, and whips historically have a bad rep throughout much of the world as being a tool of oppression and not self defense. well lets analyze this a little. am i a white slave driver pushing stolen blacks around? no. am, i a chinese warlord, seeking to conquer and enslave rival factions people? def not, just a normal Chinese dude who does martial arts and delivers food. am i an egyptian lord trying to force my will and testament upon uninterested and underfed peasant class slaves? no.
      so here we are. worrying and trying to make up for the mistakes and wrong doings committed on people whom are long gone, by people whom are long gone.
      we are worried about something being deemed as cruel and unusual, not do to its actual effect, and or output, but rather due to an unrelated circumstance creating a dark reputation.
      yes. africans, asians, ancient egyptians, and many others the world over have been enslaved and whipped. but it was not the whip that was felt the most. it was the ugly, hateful sentiment and mentality that the strike had been sent from.
      if one were to whip a slave, that would be wrong for over a hundred different reasons.
      but if one were to use a stinger tactical whip in self defense, why does that situation not change.
      i beg the question what if slaves were not whipped?
      what if instead they were forced to consume psychedelic mushrooms and were psychologically tortured and terrorized.
      what if instead they were bound and cut with a specific knife make or type.
      or what if they were instead just beat with chains, boards, any other viable instrument or substance to cause terror fear and pain.
      the answer? well then the knife would have the dark history and no one would give a single fuck about the whip.
      or the 2x4 would have a dark context. or mushrooms would not be the drug people "heal themselves" on, it would be the drug people were slaves to for hundreds of years or gimmicky name people would come up with.
      point is people need to realize different situations create different circumstance.
      and every single fucking situation is different.
      the stinger whip should be the standard for self defense. meant to deter, not destroy.
