I love this build. I’ve only got about half of it complete; got the Rathma set, Jesseth Arms, and Funerary Pick Cubed, and I’m already dealing several *BILLION* damage with AotD, which I can use again and again every few seconds, on Torment VIII. This is the first build I’m following in this game, and it’s an absolute blast.
Regardless of their position during the season, I always play Necromancer, and I get in shit for saying they need some love. The Poison Scythe build was never for me, and I've missed Rathma or Inarius bonestorm. Sooo happy to see this build not only viable, but hitting so damned hard again. Keep up the good work, Raxx!

Man getting this Angelic Crucible was frustrating, I only got it at paragon 700 after countless rerolls and when I got it I expected to see these glorious waves of skeletons that got me so excited to play this build... Only to see these random barely visible skeletons dashing in my peripheral. Build is fun to play but what a disappointment.

Hey Rax, great video as usual man! I love necro since D2, it's just awesome hero to play with. I've followed all of your instructions here and I think I got one the most powerful builds I've ever done. BUT, I can't get my skeletons to raise forever, I mean, I do have the ring with the right sanctification, but visually speaking it doesn't look like in your video at all. Any ideas?

Semi-casual solo console player, here, only about paragon 125 so far, but loving this build - I got the right class power on the first go, I don't have the Krysbins or the C'Lena yet (I put the power in the Scythe, is that ok?) but I've seen T10 bosses & rift guardians get absolutely melted without me pressing a button, lol I have zero gear optimisation yet (not full quality gems, haven't reforged, no augments etc) but its a fun build, might be my ticket to pushing towards 150 solo for the first time ever - I got about 128 on Innas with soul shards, and I started a few months late. Silly question: does the follower (if you have one) count towards the 6pc bonus?
I know the sanctified power is a lot weaker than it was at first, but I just hesitate to call it a nerf. It was casting AOTD with a different rune than it said it was casting. Changing it to the rune it was always intended to be seems more like a bug fix. Anyhow, I’m so mixed on the start this season. DH can be a painful getting to the cube and not my favorite to level, but the Haedrig gift of UE is the best early farm option. Necro is a wicked great leveling process, but Rathma isn’t the smoothest speed farmer until you have all the extra parts. Wizard is somewhere in between. I guess it’s been longer since I played a Wizard.
This looks like a fun build, so many cool options this season. Blizzard did a good job. Just wish I could use this build in traffic, maybe next season.
Use command skeletons more often, it'll reduce the CD by a few seconds each time the skeletons gang up on an enemy. It helps a ton if you can get the jesseth scythe/shield, cause they'll automatically target another enemy after the first dies from command skeletons. Try reforging some cool down reduction as well. Last but not least, maybe try cubing a Messerschmitts Reaver for CD reduction on kill

Raxx, out of all the items in this build that you can apply the crucible to, why Krysbins versus any other piece of gear that give more stats you want to max?
Because their are a high amount of different rings it’s really inefficient to craft them by upgrading rares tot legendarys. Also rings are one of the hardest pieces to roll perfect stats on because you need: -socket -attack speed 5% -100% increase damage on passive And two of three: -crit chance 6% -crit damage 50% -cooldown 8% In order to get a perfect ring everything must be perfect because int dex or str roll is guaranteed and needs to be changed in one of the above. Because crucible forces all the rolls to be maxed, rings become the most efficient item to use them on. (Assuming you are trying to max your other gear aswell).
@@TheTechnoMuffin early in the season using them on weapon would be best because of the flat damage upgrade compared with a non ancient. But scythes are easy to craft because of the low pool of different 1h scythes(4total) and easy property rolls. So yes the first thing you would like to apply crucible to is probably your weapon. But once you get some materials and you want to upgrade your gear further, the best thing to do is upgrading scythes until you almost have the exact same stats your crucibled weapon. Then switch the crucible to next gear piece.
Is getting the secondary ability roll Unconventional Warfare for the ring still possible? Just started D3 with my seasonal necromancer and watching this video really got me wanting to try out this set???
Raxxx, im trying out this build (haven't played diablo in years). I just did some bounties and got the plan for the captain crimson pieces. But the 2 set bonus gives 20 life per second and the 3 piece gives all res. Nothing with CDR? Do you know if this has changed in te last few weeks or am i missing something? Every site that i look gives the CDR bonus but in my game it seems to be different.
I love your guides Raxx. But, the gameplay video in this guide is misleading as it was before the nerf. Many will think Rathma Necro can do GR 150 at a little above 1000 paragon. It's better if you put a caption on the gameplay video saying this is before nerf. Thanks.
@@Lagalpb It is misleading because gameplay part takes up more than half of the 23min video. Many will just skip to gameplay. Live Necro is not as powerful as shown and this old gameplay shouldn't have been put into this video.
This is my first season since 16 😳 it is also my first time playing in hardcore seasonal. It definitely makes for more careful planning and gameplay. It’s really fun
Its upsetting that on xbox the sanctified power doesnt work (at least visually). Idk if I am missing the visual or what but I do not see the AOTD applying all the time.
Short question, I know I might sound stupid, but can I play this build on PS4? I saw some restrictions on maxroll regarding this build but I do not understand why, in S26 I played Raekor Boulder Toss on PS4 and it worked fine (also this build was restricted for PS4). PS: I am kinda new. Just played like 1 month in season 26 with a barbarian.
I am wondering is Rathmas Shield really useful with the 60s cooldown? If I remember correctly they actually implemented the cooldown because the set rework could make you immortal
Okay, so I do have a question about this build. Is it better to use Guardian's set or Captain Crimson's set with this build? I used Guardian's set on PTR and it was super tanky.
@@doakesanddrax, which is why I am asking. With AotD constantly going off due to the angelic power, are all those stacks of cdr needed over being able to hit harder and being more tanky.
@@junbug13wt, that is a really good question and I'll have to check when I start running it again in season. Again, I was tanky in the PTR, produced good DPS and felt like I had a second life numerous times when I did come close to death.
Something is wrong... When I play, AotD does not automatically attack an enemy only when i click on AotD it happens. I mean: Playing with and without the AotD Angelic Crucibles is the same! So something is wrong
So this just re-affirmed for me my dilemma - I can't pick between Necro, DH and Wizard for starter. I've done Necro several times before and this build looks like it will be quite fun but IT IS dependent on getting the Power dropping, I played DH last season and managed to complete my Journey after only playing the first 3 days and the last 10 days of the season so I know what I'm getting and I still have the 'muscle memory' for it, and then there's the Meteor Wiz.... it looks like as much fun as this Necro AND less likely to keel over from something looking at you the wrong way.

@@brighteyes88 no thats not it cause try it out self 1:1 the same setup its not working without the Push the Spell Button the Army would not Charge into the Center. I think that was what they fixed. Cause now u see the army charge yes its like 1-2 skellis who attack but not the attack if its like you push the button of the spell ^^
Tried this at the beginning of ptr.. and it was really fun. And then they nerfed it.. at that time did it add the wrong rune? Cuz aotd did not work for me.. so now it works again?
Why i can't use 2 different set like in the video? the set is not active only 4set rathma and 2set crimson when i equip the armor I use console Nintendo Switch

I'm hoping someone has done the math on this but why are we still using fates vow? The sanctified power is auto popping unconventional warfare for us. And as far as I've found the 250% damage bonus is additive which is a pretty lame increase. Wouldn't Aquila Cuirass providing a "nearly" 50% DR be better?

31500/1750=18, you do not have 18 minions, so is the 100% from the ring added or multiplied? if the other dmg bonuses are added its better to add a golem to the build for the 1750 dmg

Really like your guide. I get the power level guide to level 70, but I'm not sure how to grind for these pieces and getting to this build. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thx.

I'm hoping someone has done the math on this but why are we still using fates vow? The sanctified power is auto popping unconventional warfare for us. And as far as I've found the 250% damage bonus is additive which is a pretty lame increase. Wouldn't Aquila Cuirass providing a "nearly" 50% DR be better?

31500/1750=18, you do not have 18 minions, so is the 100% from the ring added or multiplied? if the other dmg bonuses are added its better to add a golem to the build for the 1750 dmg

Quick question Rax, how are you spamming Army so quickly? I have the build done, just working on better rolls. I still end up with like 10-15 second cooldown for army though. What could cause this?

The Sanctification power reads: "Enemies within 50 yards are constantly assaulted by the Army of the Dead Army of the Dead Unconventional Warfare Unconventional Warfare while this item is equipped."

@@WJCW2010 Unfortunately, there's nothing to help with. This build got nuked from orbit by Blizzard, so this playstyle doesn't exist anymore.
