Annnd when Carrie took that tool Arthur in - that was the beginning of the end of that marriage. Doug became bitter afterwards - at least that is how he was written.

Damn the show was really finding itself in that first season. Some of the dialogue and acting are rough to watch. It became one of my favorite shows in the later seasons though.
