- Parambikulam Tiger Reserve or Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary is the protected area lying in Palakkad district and Thrissur district of Kerala state in India. It is located next to Anamalai Tiger Reserve.
Veettikunnu Island is a Forest Camp previously a Forest Wireless Station till 2001 and then started to provide Forest Experiences and Accommodations to public after 2001 till now. These Islands are full for Bamboo, Bushes, Teak & mainly Sandalwood. Hence, there are 2 watchers in every Island here.
It is said there are around 40 tigers, 200-300 elephants in this forest. Parambikulam offers safari too.

Schedule:
1. Check-in shall be completed by 12:00 PM at Information Centre, Anappady, Parambikulam.
2. Reach the mainland park your vehicle at main after having lunch.
3. Travel from Parambikulam to Veettikunnu shall commence by 02:30
4. Trek at island 04:00 PM - 6:00 PM
5. Tea, Dinner and Breakfast shall be prepared as per provisions purchased by guests and based on their convenience.
6. Check-out and Return journey to Parambikulam shall commence by 09:30 AM after having breakfast.
Note : There is no camera charges for accommodations here.

Very unique nature experience. Thanks for covering and showcasing such a beautiful place. Very scenic boat rides and islands. Someone who enjoys adventure and wildlife with the minimalist stay then this is a great option.
Very true, it is unique Forest Stay that we stayed so far with wild animals all around.

Sir very informative vlog. Next week I booked in tented niche and peruvari island nest in parambikulam tiger reserve. I need a small clarification. DO WE NEED TO CARRY ALL THE RATION FROM HOME OR DO WE GET IT THERE TO BUY.
For Tented Niche, food ll be served and comes with package. For Peruvari island, you need to take provision/ration. Food items/ration is available near Lakshmi Hotels there. Most of the items are available there. If you want any specific or food items brand, you can carry from home before you start.

Is it safe for women to stay there
I have heard a lot of couples have stayed there. I don’t think there is any issue there as Forest Dept Guide will accompany till the vacation of the 🏝️ island.
But there are little challenges in terms of comfort. You can go through the video for all other information.
