I find Paradox to resemble so many other florals on the market. It’s pretty and mass appealing but it’s a been there, done that type of scent. I need to try the new Issey Miakey. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on these! I really enjoyed hearing how they turned out for you 💖❤️😍
Great video, it's getting harder and harder isn't it with decent new releases. The NR sounds very pleasant I know you're a fan of the Poudre. The orange blossom ones are definitely big atm. The JC sounds OK, have I tried that? They aren't too bad at all but like you say maybe not much of a muchness are they. The drop, yea that sounds really nice. I do like the original it's very good, even the ambroxan isn't mental it's smooth like you say. A very watery version would be lovely and very spiring like wouldn't it. The PR 🙄 let's just say yea 😊😅 And the Prada again sounds so very painfully generic. Great to get a midweek video 😋
Yes you tried I want Choo forever and liked it I think, before you tried the OG. I prefer it to the original 🙊 don't tell Magda. I will end up with a drop d'issey, it's just a question of which 😂 Fame really wasn't as terrible as I expected, just not for me. I look forward to your robot image with it too if you review it 😂 Weirdly, I really liked the Prada one and then after a few wears I went right off it and started to smell things I didn't enjoy in it. I do wonder whether it's samples versus bottles sometimes when my opinion dramatically shifts from trying in store. Haha, I aim to please 😉 bonus videos are quite rare aren't they?!
I'm with you Claire. When it comes to Narciso Rodriguez I'll stick to Poudree. The opening of Cristal was beautiful and sparkling but then it fell flat for me. I've got to get my nose on A Drop d'Issey Fraiche. Hadn't heard of it but it sounds gorgeous. Shame it's more of a a skin scent though. I haven't bothered with the others after trying Cristal; they just don't appeal to me. Enjoy the long weekend 💖💖💖

I am so fascinated by how differently people percieve perfumes! Narciso Cristal seems to really divide people. It was so piercing to me, both times I tested the sample I found it truly head-splitting at first and then when it dried down, the screechy florals gave way to a horrifyingly sweet powder.... gave me Kenzo flower vibes (which I find cloying!). Haha just such a different experience! I can't get on with any Narciso Rodriguez perfumes tbf, they're a disaster on my skin and thier musk smells like chlorine on me. I don't normally review them unless I get free samples with other perfume orders! I love how A Drop D'issey smells but sadly the ambroxan in it just doesn't work on my skin. I got a 40ml bottle because it smells so pretty (and honestly I just love those bottles!), but it's in my declutter pile as it just doesn't really work on my skin - I like the smell of the Eau Fraiche too but that ambroxan.... can't do it :( I've not managed to sniff the other ones but as I'm so fussy about orange blossom and jasmine that I didn't think they'd be up my alley anyway! Yes ambroxan can be too much for me in some fragrances but I find it really smooth in the drop d'issey range 🙂 I agree Cristal is more piercing than the rest of the range which is more powdery generally. Hello beautiful! I’m not impressed with most new releases. I Want Choo Forever is an exception for me. I get very good performance from it and the sillage is amazing. I think it’s the only designer perfume that impressed me lately. As for Fame, I just can’t with that bottle 😂😂😅 I tried it at the store and it’s pretty but I wasn’t impressed. You’re right, there is nothing groundbreaking about it ❤
I really liked I want Choo forever! The fragrance was lovely, just didn't project for me. Haha, you can always rely on Paco Rabanne for a weird bottle. It's such a strange concept 😂

Hi Claire! Thank you for those reviews. Heard so many diverging comments about Fame and Paradoxe, that I'm not really interested all that much. I've bought 2 Paco Rabanne fragrances at good price in the past and found them kinda plastic smelling. I have the original A Drop and really like it. I smelled the new one, but last October. It smelt ''fresher'' and less creamy to me, but with colder weather, it might not have been the best time to sample it.
Yes, I think that's a good description of the difference actually between the drop d'issey fragrances. I know what you mean, Fame and Paradoxe really didn't excite me from other people's descriptions of them. Thanks for watching ❤️
I did a double-take when I saw a video from you today. My first thought was, did I sleep through 2 days? I was reassured by looking at the calendar:) It's like a nice mid-week bonus. I haven't tried any of the fragrances you mention, but what kills any interest for me in a perfume is if it's described as "inoffensive" or "mass appealing." While you can't expect masterpieces or totally original fragrances all of the time, at least I try to look for different combinations or ingredients. For example, I've decided I have enough white floral fragrances, but I was intrigued by the notes in Figment by Amouage that promised a different treatment. It included Sichuan pepper and saffron as well as papyrus, orris, incense and patchouli. Besides which, it was on sale:) It's gorgeous.

The One imo lol, its prices skyrocketed lately, was shocked to see the 75ml go for like 140$ but i noticed that this frag is not that available as before, may be its on its way to discontinuation even though its one of D&G's iconic frags... ty for reviewing these, and especially Narciso Crystal i was wondering how it is or if it is any close to the unicorn Narciso eau de parfum (the white cube) i managed to find a 50ml lately which is kind of a miracle... Paradoxe seems to be quite interesting though, i feel like its gonna be this year's best seller.. lovely vid ♥
Oh it's the powdery amber vanilla peach that I dislike in the one. I struggle with that combination. I do also feel it's being discontinued. Powdery peach is out of fashion. You did well to find Narciso EDP. I find NR's management of that line extremely confusing. Why would you discontinue the pillar fragrance yet keep releasing flankers? 😂 Yes Paradoxe is very popular I think. I think it's got a strange texture somehow for me, a bit grainy. I'm just not keen. I sold the new narciso. It was just meh to me. I didn't enjoy I want choo forever either. I gave it away. Even though neither are original, fame was pretty but too common and paradoxe is a fun, love. I get so many compliments and I just love it even though it's such a mass appealing, familiar fragrance.

Yes it's strange but I really liked it when I tried it from a bottle in store, but I wasn't fussed when I used a few samples of it and began to smell things I just don't enjoy in it. I'd say most fragrances these days are meh for me. It take a lot for me to love something now. 😊
I bought two of these, one because of the bottle and one because I love the scent. I want to like the Narciso fragrances, but they just don't do it for me. I was left flat by I Want Choo Forever. I was planning to get it, but I just wasn't impressed enough. If I can get it for cheap I'll pick it up, lol.
I totally understand that Narciso arent for everyone m, they have a distinctive house DNA for sure that if that doesn't suit, will be a problem. I want Choo forever is disappointing because of the cherry and the lasting power unfortunately... Thanks for watching ❤️

Haven't tried the paco either. Paradox was nice, but I don't feel I need it. It takes a really special release to get my attention these days. A drop d'issey is a very nice lilac. I am interested in that one. Then again I have so many spring perfumes! 🥰✨🐇

Yes, the cherry is gone pretty quickly for me. It's a shame because that opening is gorgeous 😍 I think if you like the original drop d'issey, you will like the Eau fraîche. I recently went into a Sephora for the first time (!) to try whatever fragrances I could. I tried Paradoxe and was unimpressed. Seemed like a generic fruity floral to me...
We just got a Sephora or two in London, so I've not been other than in Italy when I was on holiday. Yes I'm afraid Paradoxe didn't stand out to me either. Thanks for watching ❤️

I love the Cristal, gives the Poudre vibes without the powder puff. I agree it seems like a cristalline version. It's one by my bedside table.

Yes it's strange but I really liked it when I tried it from a bottle in store, but I wasn't fussed when I used a few samples of it and began to smell things I just don't enjoy in it.
I'd say most fragrances these days are meh for me. It take a lot for me to love something now. 😊
I love Fame! First time I smelled it I wasn’t too impressed but when I tried it again I was hooked and bought a bottle right away.
It's very fruity 😊 I enjoyed it more than I thought I might. The bottle is insane, I love that 😂
I bought two of these, one because of the bottle and one because I love the scent. I want to like the Narciso fragrances, but they just don't do it for me. I was left flat by I Want Choo Forever. I was planning to get it, but I just wasn't impressed enough. If I can get it for cheap I'll pick it up, lol.
I totally understand that Narciso arent for everyone m, they have a distinctive house DNA for sure that if that doesn't suit, will be a problem. I want Choo forever is disappointing because of the cherry and the lasting power unfortunately... Thanks for watching ❤️

Aah, yes it's a little softer than the rest of the line. Maybe more close to skin too? I think I feel similarly, most designer fragrances don't excite me enough for me to go buy them now. I don't know if that's me or the fragrances that are being marketed right now... Happy Wednesday Julie ❤️

@@dr.claire.perfume I haven't tried the N.R. cristalle. Sounds pretty. I really liked Poudre when I tried it, but I want to test it again and no one is having narciso as testers around me anymore. Haven't tried the paco either. Paradox was nice, but I don't feel I need it. It takes a really special release to get my attention these days. A drop d'issey is a very nice lilac. I am interested in that one. Then again I have so many spring perfumes! 🥰✨🐇

Yes, the cherry is gone pretty quickly for me. It's a shame because that opening is gorgeous 😍 I think if you like the original drop d'issey, you will like the Eau fraîche. I was really interested in Fame because it was supposed to have a mango note. Incredibly disappointed when I tried it out.

I recently went into a Sephora for the first time (!) to try whatever fragrances I could. I tried Paradoxe and was unimpressed. Seemed like a generic fruity floral to me...
We just got a Sephora or two in London, so I've not been other than in Italy when I was on holiday. Yes I'm afraid Paradoxe didn't stand out to me either. Thanks for watching ❤️
