I've seen them plenty of times being from the new Orleans but this one night after Katrina they played a show in a small, gutted restaurant with exposed framing and limited people bc people still weren't back. One of the best shows ever

Saw them at regent here at la and one the best shows ive seen. These guys really give more to their fans, how? They played more than an hour to the point that the person working at the venue started going to the stage and telling them to wrap it up. I think it the show ran for it felt like 2 hours😂.
They are super cool to their fans. I smoked weed with Gary before a show and Jimmy guestlisted me and my boys. Mike even recognised me from a gig two years before and chatted with me for a while. They are super cool guys in my book.
One of the best things about them is that age isn't a factor like it is in most bands. Take the Rolling Stones, for example. It's great that they're still playing but do you really want to see them? No, it's not the same. On the other hand Eyehategod may actually be getting better with age. It's heavy, it's ugly and it's intense.
Without exaggeration, one of the best live metal bands on the planet. They just don't have "ok," let alone "bad" shows, ever, especially in the modern day. Nobody leaves an EHG show thinking, "That was a waste of time/money." 😅
Gonna see these cats in a couple of weeks. Im making my famouse paella for them and my best mate is gonna tattoo Mike and Gary. Literally cannot fucken wait for this. Its gonna be so fucken awesome!
