Can't decide whether liquid crystal or ultra hybrid, because I'm afraid the hybrid will scratch or even break easily?, and the liquid crystal if will turn yellow rapidly?
I've used the Ultra Hybrid cases for years now across more devices than I can count, and they've never broken on me even once. They are pretty scratch resistant too. The Liquid Crystal starts to turn yellow pretty quick from my experience. You'd probably get a month before the yellowing becomes noticeable. Trust me with this, go for the Ultra Hybrid.
They only start to yellow after about 6-7 months of use in my experience. By that point the case usually gets so scuffed up that I usually just replace it.
z 22 The thing with clear cases is that overtime when exposed to direct sunlight it'll turn the color of the clear plastic case into a yellow-ish color just naturally.
Apple clear case has been great doesn’t easily scratch like other brands do, I’ve purchased many different ones like otter box ones and they would scratch up just from wiping them, apples clear case has held up well,

This is an interesting lie. I’ve got the Otterbox clear case and it does NOT scratch! I wipe mine all the time, slide mine across the table, etc. perfect condition. Plus... check out the video of the guy doing a drop test with the Otterbox Symmetry clear case, and you’ll seriously never buy a different case than that. SERIOUS protection. Apple doesn’t have that.
Hey is the ultra hybrid compatible with edge to edge tempered glass? Coz in the past I’ve known that spigen cases don’t work well with edge to edge tempered glasses. Can you please tell me?
The lip of the case does come out a decent bit, so from my best guess it will not work with edge-to-edge screen protectors. You could use the Spigen screen protectors instead. They’re not edge-to-edge but I’ve been using them for a very long time and I’ve had absolutely no issues with them whatsoever.
I bought the platinum hardshell for iPhone 11 at Best Buy for $25 because I didn’t have a case and I don’t like having my iPhone without one so I bought this one because it was one of the cheapest ones and look like it provided good protection. Could you tell me if it’s good or should I buy the one from the video?
@@Jcz74 I can't speak for the protection because I haven't used the Platinum case. Looks wise I prefer the Spigen case because it's fully clear and really shows off the phones color without compromising on protection.
Yes, it does start to yellow after a while. It's not immediate, it usually takes a couple of weeks/months depending on how dusty/oily your environment is. If you've bought it I wouldn't worry about it. Just use it until it starts to yellow and then replace it with the Ultra Hybrid.

You need to have it be flexible in the right places and have rigidity in certain places. I really think that the Spigen Ultra Hybrid nails that combination. That is the one I would recommend for sure.

Since you have black, you have to stick to just clear cases. If you do want to go with a clear case I suggest the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Some other really cool designs are the Spigen Neo Hybrid, Spigen Liquid Air Armor, and the Spigen Tough Armor.
@@alfremata7 Since you have the black iPhone 11, you can go with either one to be honest. The Matte Black is definitely better in terms of grip compared to the Crystal Clear. I'd personally go with the Matte Black.
Yes they are two different cases. The one for the 11 Pro is called the "Ultra Hybrid", which is the one that had the protective film on it. The one on the 11 is called the Liquid Crystal which doesn't come with a protective film on it. The Liquid Crystal is the more "flexible" case and doesn't have the hard plastic back.

The Liquid Crystal does yellow after a few months, however the Ultra Hybrid does not yellow over time. They use different materials which makes the difference. I highly recommend the Ultra Hybrid over the Liquid Crystal.
Honestly, because it wasn't on my radar when I was making this video. Looking at it now, I still don't think I'm interested in it because it costs around $35-$45 on amazon, while the Spigen is about $12. I've been using the Spigen cases for years now, and I have not had a single phone get damaged or cracked while in one of their cases. I've dropped them on concrete, marble, asphalt, and everything else in between and they've always protected my phones. It comes down to if the $12 one does the same thing, why bother spending $40 just for the brand?

I'm so sorry for the late reply! Yes I think the Space Crystal case would make an excellent pairing with the Black iPhone 11. The Spigen cases usually don't yellow at all. I've had a few yellow after about a years worth of use but I haven't had any recent cases especially the Ultra Hybrid ones yellow at all.

You have a sharp eye! Yes it was slipping around because the table is really smooth and with a screen protector on the 11 Pro it just slid around the table the entire time.
The Apple case will offer some level of drop protection, but the way it is designed it won't absorb shock and will most likely cause damage to the glass if it's dropped hard enough. The Spigen Ultra Hybrid case offers drop protection and I've been using this style case for the last 4 years and I've never had a single phone get damaged in it.

Yes it does, however it’s not as bad as the glass itself. From what I noticed oily skin will really leave the most noticeable fingerprints, but it usually takes a while for them to be very visible. However when that does happen a simple wipe on your t-shirt or with a microfiber cloth will have it looking brand new.
I just dont get why when buying a case it’s about cost. You just spend 800 dollars on a phone but being cheap on buying a case. Spigen i tried several times but they scratch easily and loose the sturdynish over time. Yellowing the edge also being a normal Thing. I Always end up with Original manufacture cases as they just simply holdup better. Yes its more expensive then the third party cases but as Saïd you just payed a whooping 800 dollars on a phone and now looking die a bargain.
Yup, those are great options too! They yellow a bit after a while of use, but at that price it's honestly not a big deal since you can replace it for less than $10.

The only thing cheap about these cases is the price. The quality is without question higher on the Spigen cases compared to the Apple one. It comes down to the principle of getting what’s worth it for your money. The Apple Clear case is a ripoff for what it is.
A wise man named Zach once said “Glass is glass, and glass breaks”. Doesn’t matter if it’s the toughest glass ever, it can still break. Plus the bigger issue I have is with scratching and smudges on the glass which is the biggest reason why I always use a case.
I understand. I've been trying very hard to find a lighting setup that works for me. It's not as easy as one would hope. I appreciate the feedback though.

Spigen is the best for me. I just bought a Tough Armor yesterday and it blew me away. It was bit thin and sturdy.

Yes comparatively it does add a little bit more bulk and weight, however it has a lot more protection. So it's a trade off that you need to decide on.

I just dont get why when buying a case it’s about cost. You just spend 800 dollars on a phone but being cheap on buying a case. Spigen i tried several times but they scratch easily and loose the sturdynish over time. Yellowing the edge also being a normal Thing. I Always end up with Original manufacture cases as they just simply holdup better. Yes its more expensive then the third party cases but as Saïd you just payed a whooping 800 dollars on a phone and now looking die a bargain.

Yup, those are great options too! They yellow a bit after a while of use, but at that price it's honestly not a big deal since you can replace it for less than $10.
@@Auto-Technica i got for less than $2 from amazon.com and for more than six months no issue. they have ridges on the back that make it grippy. it is perfect for the iphone 7 plus 8 plus because they are super thin and don't make the already big phone even more bigger. i am not able to locate those now. maybe they ran out of them. the one i saw are more expensive (7-10 bucks).
I am able to locate them but Amazon buggers have increased the price 5 folds. ony one model is still ok price (doubled)

Do not buy it guys it turn yellowish within a month. Please do not waste $40 in this clear case. Rather go for silicone cases.

The only thing cheap about these cases is the price. The quality is without question higher on the Spigen cases compared to the Apple one.
It comes down to the principle of getting what’s worth it for your money. The Apple Clear case is a ripoff for what it is.

I got my phone a week ago and it’s as easy to get smudged as yours.
Why bother to use a case? Apple claim this is Pro device and the toughest glass ever on both front and rear.
A wise man named Zach once said “Glass is glass, and glass breaks”. Doesn’t matter if it’s the toughest glass ever, it can still break.
Plus the bigger issue I have is with scratching and smudges on the glass which is the biggest reason why I always use a case.

Yes all 3 of the cases have a decent sized lip that will protect the screen without being too excessive.
