30 Day Sketchbook Project Day 1

This is day one of the project - I’m using Minnie Small’s lovely book The 30-Day Sketchbook Project. You get a snapshot of the project in this video but each project is more in-depth than what I share here - so head over to your fav bookshop to explore further :)
For day one we are exploring mark making and filling the blank page. I found this a really useful exercise for practicing defined shapes with a brush. I’m definitely going to do this a few more times to improve my skill level.

You've done such a great job making this video. It shows enough of what the book has to offer to know if it interests me, but not too much so that I wouldn't feel the need to buy it anymore. So it's still firmly on my wishlist. 😁
And I think you made some wonderful art in this session. I hope you realised while editing what us viewers could see: the exercise was created to end up with lovely results even if not every individual shape came out perfectly crisp. So up close some of the shapes may have been off-model, but all together the patterns still looked super impressive.
