मैं दस साल से डिजिटल मशीन इस्तेमाल कर रहा हूं। मशीन को पहले calibrate करना पडता है। इसके लिए किसी डाक्टर वाली analogue मशीन से reading लेकर तुरन्त डिजिटल मशीन की reading से compare करें व जो Difference आये उसे नोट करें।हमेशा डिजिटल मशीन से 3 reading लें। उनमें 2 पास वाली reading का average consider करें फिर reading को calibrate कर लें। इस तरह 99% accurate reading मिलेगी। मशीन अच्छे brand की खरीदें।
Blood pressure har minute change hota rehta hai so 5 aur 10 point se kuch fark nahi parta....blood pressure measure karne se pehle jo instructions hai agar aap unhe follow karein toh sayad measurement me itna difference na aaye....
I learned it the hard way... My mother's bp was 140/70 but it showed above 170/80 several times... I increasd her medicine and she went low...readings within 4-5 minutes showed so great difference that I learned how to take Mercury based meter reading with stethoscope... You tube videos helped me a lot... Advice: you can take reading from aneroid meters too, which are Affordable, reliable and convenient to operate...they need Recalibration every sixth month

5 point variation is normal depending upon the time. Even doctor's reading varies 5-7 points. Best method is: Measure 3 reading with a time interval 3-4 min. then make a average. Then the error will me minimum. I have Omron, its giving me almost exact reading. I have already compared it with the mercury machine.

That everyone already known . There will always be difference of 5-10 points. These machines gave estimate . Many other points like if you check bp after walking if will show more. You can't check your bp by yourself with manually machines. Many doc. while checking manually also give wrong data .
the best way out initially is to take bp machine to nearby doctor during visit and cross check the readings with his readings ......please make sure variables are least.....like same hand same position .......that can be achieved by measuring bp immediately as soon as doctor finishes his measurement through his machine and while he is busy writing ur clinical findings.......so that you as well as he sees cross check readings

मैंने आपको सरप्राइज किया है आपने बीपी के लिए बताया बिल्कुल सत्य है यह जितने इंस्ट्रूमेंट आते हैं सब गलत रीडिंग देते हैं और उनके आधार पर कोई निर्णय लिया जाना बहुत घातक है अब सवाल ये उठता है कि आप बताएं क्या हर बार बीपी ना पाने के लिए डॉक्टर के पास जाएं₹200 फीस लेते हैं वह भी दिन में फिर क्या करें आदमी इसका उपाय बताएं क्या यह जो मरकरी का इंस्ट्रूमेंट है क्या अकेला आदमी खुद का खुद रोगी इससे नाप सकता आप रिप्लाई करें और क्या चाह रहा है थैंक्स
मेरी मां का ब्लड प्रेशर २००/१२० आ रहा था खराब मशीन के कारण, में उसे हॉस्पिटल लेकर गया जल्दी जलदी, डॉक्टर को बताया तो डॉक्टर ने उस बात का फायदा उठाते हुए मुझे कहा कि मेरी मशीन में भी १९०/११० आ रहा है और मेरी मां को आईसीयू में एडमिट कर दिया ३ दिन के लिए , जबकि एडमिट करने के थोड़ी दर बाद तो उसका ईसीजी मशीन जो लगा कर रखते हैं वह भी बंद कर दिया, और ऑब्जर्वेशन के नाम पे तीन दिन ऐसे ही आईसीयू में रखा और बड़ा बिल निकला, उसके बाद मैंने उस डॉक्टर को छोड़ दिया और दूसरे डॉक्टर के पास जाने लगा regular checkup के लिए, उस नए डॉक्टर ने मुझे डिजिटल बीपी मॉनिटर ना इस्तेमाल करने की सलाह दी, उस दिन के बाद मैंने मशीन को कभी हाथ नहीं लगाया है, और हर ३ महीने डॉक्टर से ही बीपी check करवाता हूं, और ६ महीने में सुगर और साल में एक बार ग्लाइकोसिलेटिड सुगर लैब से।

I feel the difference will always be constant may be it, any machine. Even 2 BP measuring non-digital machines, used at the same time on a person, will not show the same reading. Hence the point to be noted. The difference will be constant. So one must use that factor of difference.

good initiative lot of these machine are not ISO citified and people buy these equipment which low price but not certified people should by it from genuine and original from the trade company.
Technically, every BP measurement / reading differs from previous reading or next reading irrespective of same machine or using two machines at home or at home & doctor's place due to several reasons. So take 3-5 readings and take average. However, right method to use the machine is a must thing to get right reading. Doses must not be altered without consultation of a competent doctor.

With the same machine if you take blood pressure within a short intervals of 4 to 5 minutes the reading s show a fall of about 15 to 25 points
