Wow. I thought I hated my SCT X4 until I saw this video. It’s just a quick switch of data config file and done.

That's great. I have tried to add the manifold absolute pressure channel on my configuration but it looks like it only measures in volts. Is there anyway I could get a HP tuner configuration with MAP in it? If you respond I can send you a picture of the configuration parameters I have. I don't mind paying for that if needed. Just need the MAP to work. It worked before not sure what happened. Thanks.

I posted a guide on the HPT forums on this 8 years ago that shows boost in PSI and vacuum in in/HG. forum.hptuners.com/showthread.php?31730-Howto-Boost-Gauge-that-shows-boost-vac-on-GEN-IV-LS-scanner

There's one issues with this math. On Mopar vehicle's 2011 to 2014 the stock PCM will only read 195kpa then shuts off. Which is 14psi. So like on my car I'm running 20psi but logs stop reads map at 192kpa if you raise the KPA reading in the tune to say 300kpa once it sees 195kpa it will shut off injectors. Basically the ECU shuts down and then turns back on once KPA readings go down so on Dodge you can only set it to 195 or 192 to be able to shift at a higher RPM with more boost. 2015 to 2022 stock PCM will read 22 psi

I have a 22 camaro ss with procharger p1-x. The kit doesn't come with wideband map sensor, it uses the stock. Following these instructions I get a negative 10 value at idle for boost.
    Any solution to this ?

Doesn't weather change barometric pressure? Do you need to adjust for that or do you just go off of for a lack of better terms mean barometric pressure or do fuel trims take care of making up for the changes in pressures?

    • @TheTuningSchool

Yes it does, and no you do not. The fuel trims will pick up any slack that the system is not compensating for. However, often times these vehicles and ECUs have barometric pressure sensors that allow the vehicle to see the change and skew the fueling outputs as needed.

Do I use this with my stock ecu.
    Thanks Sid

Most new cars only runs stock ecu and uses a reflash tuning.

Ironic that you used Dodge as an example. This works up to 14.5 psi on many of the 2010 and up VVT engines but there is a known issue with the PCM where once the MAP sensor hits max voltage, the boost will fall off (happens around 5700 RPM on my 2013 RT) and it will force a shift. The only work around is to set the MAX MAP to 195 kPa. I'm looking for a boost sending unit that will feed the MPVI Pro so that I can record boost above this level. Sadly, going above this level for most people won't be that great since the PCM has you pulling from the same row on the PE_Aircharge and PE_Pratio table as what you are using at 14.5 psi but a progressive meth controller can give you a little protection and you should be using a wideband.

I came here trying to understand why pressure gauges can display negative pressure values. Unfortunately, that was not explained.

So I have been watching and trying to learn this stuff. But on my 08 TBSS, I swapped out the 1 bar map for 2 bar to support 12ish psi boost. But when I changed the linear and offset, the ve tables still only show 105 kpa. What am I missing? Shouldn't they be like 215kpa or something?
