I'm not really certain this sounds as good as other plugins like Little AlterBoy. The formant and pitch with AlterBoy seem a bit more musical and pleasing than this one and as someone mentioned there seems to be more artifacts with this plugin and the formant/pitch gets into more chipmunk territory than I'd hope for. However, this plugin does have cooler effects and the LFO/SEQ options are very cool. If this one could rival Little AlterBoy's pitch and formant knobs... it would be superior.

I can't use any of my Waves plugins with my M1 either, except for the H EQ. Hundreds of them useless even though Waves Control says they're all installed and activated. Maddening. Been on the phone with Waves support, and they say there's nothing they can do. So I won't buy any more Waves plugins until they wake up. I think the best thing to do would be shift to Windows, the plug-ins would work really well as long as you have a beefy system (you can cheap out on graphics card and go for an AMD processor)
All we need now, since all these gadgets are making every production sounds like every other one, is a "Singer Generator". You couple it with the " Word Generator" and " Melody Generator" and voilà ! Put it in the " Automix Generator " and then in the "Internet Broadcast Generator" and pile up the money without even knowing you produced a song.😁
Downloaded the new vocal bender and the graphics does not show...so I can't see what I'm changing. Using Studio One 5.0 all my other waves products shows...what went wrong???

I just bought Vocal Bender, and Real time tune, and when i install them, i cand see only the Vocal Bender. Only if i install the Real Tune(autotune) first, i can see it, but when i install the Vocal bender, its only Vocal bender on my Ableton live 10. Can u help me?

This looks a great plugin and really frustrating that I cant use .just a warning to all before you purchase, this is a v12 series plugin. V12 plugins require a Mac computer that supports ‘Metal’. Mac models without ‘Metal’ support are not supported with V12." Why an audio application developer would limit user access due to a graphics requirement I dont know .will have to wait till I can afford a new comp.:(

So basically get the one effect that will become SO DATED, that all recordings from this... I wanna say "FEW WEEKS" will sound like this... and then everyone in the industry will realize it's just a gimmick and nothing musical... I record music. I can make all of these sounds by myself with a TAPE MACHINE if I really wanted to... there would be ZERO artifacts and you couldn't get the sound that i got with a gun to your head... I think there have been some general advances in production and processing, and I own most of the Waves software... but this is the effect equivalent of "BLINKER FLUID"... you know what your song needs!? BLINKER FLUID... in fact... that would be a great name for it!
Recording engineers have been using simulated reverb for almost 75 years. Auto tune has been used in pop music for over 20 years and is probably on the majority of hit records during that time. Whether it’s a lot of the effect or just for pitch correction. It’s just another tool in the toolbox and it’s not going away. If you want to be an analog purist, go for it...but your statement about “everyone in the industry” is way off base.
I dont want any robot or strange sound on my voice. I want to know can this manupulate my voice to sound wayyyy better like almost not sounding like me. I want to sound like a pretty girl. My voice is a 6.5 on 0-10 scale. i want it to sound 8.5 on a decent scale. Also is this capable to work with windows 10? I need to know before spending money. Thanks everyone 🙃
Hi @MeJustBeingMe, Vocal Bender gives you the ability to manipulate the formant which will allow you to alter the tonal character of your voice without affecting the actual notes. It can make a voice sound as if it is coming from a different sized source/person. If you'd like to check if it works for you personally and for your own voice, we highly recommend demoing the plugin so you could hear for yourself 🙂. That said, do keep in mind that Vocal Bender is not a pitch correction tool and will not help you stay in tune while singing. I have been working in Electronic Music since the early 1980's. There is nothing that this software gives you that you can't get with 50 other plugins. Why do they think there is some kind of new technology here that sounds any different than everything before it? The waste of such time and effort to bring to market a bland plugin should be beneath Waves. Why do this and then hit the advertisements hard, like you've just discovered water? Once some brilliant programmer comes up with something new and inventive that allows me to get truly creative with it, I will pass on such things like this; I already have a ton of plugins that I bought and never use. Don't need another.
Well, I’m new to producing and only do vocal tracks (acapella versions of songs) in GarageBand and this sounds exactly like what I need. Maybe it’s not about you.

This is what I am targeting - developers that only add shiny new FX or modulation on top of technology that is 20 years old. Not trying to do the hard thing - come up with your own unique core coding for pitch shifting that breaks open new ground for us electronic musicians to explore...
cpu heavy? which computer are running this on? it's very light weight based on my tests so far, i7 8700k 16gb ram running win 10 - was able to run around 15+ instances on an already worked on project with some other plugins inserted as well and no issues, playing back perfectly and all...

Not really. An Autotune would be more like Waves Tune Real Time / Waves Tune. This is a pitch shifter designed for Vocals.
