    Great instruction Kevin. You broke it down in a way that was very intuitive and easy to understand. I would like to see more videos on the different types of volleys. I find myself struggling with putting away the in-between volleys that are above the shoulder but not one which you could hit overhead, especially when the return is a floater or lacking pace. Another one I make mistakes with is when someone hits a slice and I get aggressive on the volley and end up in the net.

    Hi Kevin this really put a proper volley into sharp focus that REALLY improved my confidence and results at the net. Thank you and sure a more detailed video detailing the flat, knife etc would be GREAT. But also touching on the nuances of the half and full volley would clear up a few misconceptions I'm certain I have... would further increase confidence. You raised such a great point in that your opponents can instantly sense if you are feeling timid or tepid at the net so true.
    Excellent instruction, if I could respectfully offer some constructive critique, can you speak somewhat more slowly please. I started tennis age 4 and now at 68 still play doubles 9X a week. So I'm simply here to learn recognized modern techniques not take on Carlitos. I have all the time in the world for excellent instruction which your channel definitely brings to the viewer.
    Hey while I have you in my years of playing tennis I never managed to grasp a clear understanding of what the Australian Twist Serve involves. I hunch it is a very slight deviation from the Kick Serve. Frankly it's been super secretive info only known as privileged folklore all these years. One hallmark of Australian Twist is a high* degree of difficulty ( for the receiver) in reading that serve. Indeed I'm convinced a current opponent knows it, uses it and won't ever discuss this "privliged" secret technique. So I hope you can appreciate my curiosity as that curiosity is well over a half century old.
    Great channel. In times of strife, STAY CALM and play tennis 🫢👋🎾

    Hi Kevin , On the forehand volley I think it is really good to keep the free left hand close to the racquet butt as you turn your body , which looks like you are catching a ball , or you are handcuffed . At one point in the video you are not doing that , and to be fair , Roger doesn't do it either . However , it is a great way to help ensure that your body turns in preparation which means that your right arm only turns as part of the body turn . When you see a player doing this , it looks so much more correct than if the left arm is just hanging down .

    • @TotalTennisDomination
      @TotalTennisDomination  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question. I use the handcuffs or hands together as a tool to help players who struggle with the idea of turning their shoulders and creating a strong structure. If the player doesn’t have the issue, then I prefer not to mess with the technique.

    Great video ty for sharing do u have any thoughts about how tight one should hold his grip does it change in different volley situations incoming ball speed tighter if it’s high maybe drop volley looser maybe ?

    • @TotalTennisDomination
      @TotalTennisDomination  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I’m in general you’re right. The tighter you squeeze the firmer the volley will be. The most you have access to the court (meaning able to hit down) the tighter you can be within reason. Very rarely am I at a full 10 tightness if the scale is 1 to 10. Thanks

    If you show action instead of talking too much, your videos will be watched much more. Instead of telling people something by talking, you can add your speech later by applying the movement.
