If you have recently put a lot of money into it and are likely to continue using it KEEP IT. What would happen IF your dad's car has an accident. You would jump back into this one as you enjoy driving it to your spec.

Don't get rid of it. Regret getting rid of my Mk1 Escort. It got stolen but I got it back, although damaged. I never felt the same afterwards but that was in the early 80's. Definitely wish I'd kept it though.

had 4 mk2 escorts in the 80s 2 saloons estate and van love these and rather have another one for daily driver than modern junk...if i could afford your escort would be happy to look after it for you..
