Great video. Helping a friend fix up a boat that hasn't been used in a long time, fuel tank was about half water. Going to drain the tank this week but before filling it back up I need to thoroughly go over the system and figure out how the water got there in the first place. Your video was very helpful
Hello James. Great video ! I just boat a boat and it has 2 tanks . The previous owner never used the front tank and it has no fuel lines hooked up. Before I fill it with fuel I want to ensure it doesn’t have any leaks. So I’m looking forward to your follow up video with your testing procedure using the parts you purchased. Thanks for posting the links in the description! Any idea when you are going to post that video? Much appreciated
Hi Gary and thanks for the positive comments. To be honest, I have the initial second video recorded but after reviewing it, I want to add more video to it and my boat is having the starboard side head replaced at the mechanic (it's been there 8 weeks) because of a hairline crack. It is supposed to be finished this week, so as soon as I can get the other portion of film completed that I need to shoot, I can work on the mixing and post part #2. Thanks again for the support!
Finally got the call that the repair was completed and paid the bail to get my boat out of the mechanic's jail. LOL $3,000 to fix the head and $450 for a new timing belt tensioner later, I'll be doing my 1 hour mandatory cam break in and 4 hours of varied speed to set everything in place and get ready for some fishing and diving. Stay tuned.
Thanks for the useful video and the links
Thanks for the video. I have a similar issue and appreciate you calling out all your parts.
Glad to help, after wanting to pull out my hair with my project, I knew I was not the only one with this issue and frustration. :)
